Thank you SHERIMA1! I love this recipe. It's so nice to find a recipe full of fresh veggies. Everyone loved it, even the kids. This will replace the WBLE sauce (from this website), I always use. I did not use the full amount of veggies and I am glad I did not. I used half of what was called for. It would be too much to use the full amount (for us). Thanks again!

Yum Yum Yum! I only used one onion, half a large green pepper, and 4 cloves of garlic. Used a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes and a 14 oz can of Italian diced tomatoes. Ended up using a Tablespoon of Kosher salt and probably a teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of oregano. Left the basil as directed. Also added a healthy dash of worcestershire sauce and a finely diced yellow squash. Simmered for a couple of hours, stirring occasionally. Was absolutely delicious!

This sauce is wonderful! We found it, and have been making it on a regular basis ever since. The first time my husband made it, he accidentally switched the amounts of two of the spices, but it's been delicious every time! Freeze and save for pizzas, marinara, spaghetti, lasagna, everything!

Really liked it, substituted turkey for ground beef, otherwise followed the recipe to the tee, made sure to put in plenty of salt and pepper.

I don't eat beef but my fiance loves spaghetti sauce. So I tried this and he absolutely LOVED it! He said it's better than his mom's (which according to him was the best!!)

This had to much garlic for our liking. It makes a ton, but next time I think I would maybe do 3 garlic cloves instead of 5.

This is an excellent basic recipe. You can either do a lot with it by adding more spices, or you have make "as is" and it is wonderful. I left out the sugar, and added a pinch of baking soda instead, as suggested by another reviewer. What a great tip! If you don't like a real sweet sauce, but want to tame the bitterness, baking soda does the trick. I went with one onion and one green pepper, a bit heavier on the oregano, basil and garlic to suit my family's taste. I also used ground turkey in place of ground beef and it turned out great. Couldn't tell it was ground turkey, the family didn't know. Much healthier, and easier on the budget. I often make this substitution in meat sauces when I want to go lighter. Overall, this is an easy, versatile recipe.

Very tasty recipe. The best homemade spaghetti sauce I have come across. It made a lot and I got to freeze quite a bit for future meals. I made it just as directed and it was perfecto!

YUUUUMMY!!! Fast and easy pasta sauce!! I don't care for eating garlic but I love the taste so I used the whole clove and let them simmer and took them out when it was finished. I also used only half the sugar that is called for and added some fresh diced zuchinni. I also added a can of small can of tomato paste and about half a can of water. Put mushrooms in and didnt use the peppers. Added more basil and oregano to my taste. It is soooo good!! This sauce is as good if not better than my granny's and hers took hours to prepare and cook.

It was a very good sauce and not too hard to make. It also didn't take too long, but it still wasn't as good as a couple of others I have made before
