I doubled the sauce. It was very yummy. Next time I think I will try taking the skin off to give all the chicken a chance at the flavor.

The chicken just fell off the bone. I'll use this whenever I need shredded chicken I think. It tasted good too. I usually make recipes with boneless chicken just because that is easier to deal with, but this was so easy to get off the bone.

Used a 4.5 lb chicken and let it go 5hrs on low. Was still a little dry, could probably have used 1/2 hr less. Flavor was good though, not overpowering, but not too bland. Will try again with a little tweaking.

The chicken was great. I didn't have sesame oil & didn't want to lug my kids out to get it so I left it out & used a little it of olive oil instead. I was delicious though. I didn't want to take the time to take off the skin either so I left it on. It was quick & easy & made great leftovers.

This chicken dish was so tasty. The meat was falling off the bone...very tender. I loved how easy it was to prepare - just toss it all into the slow cooker and turn it on. I will definitely use this recipe again! Thanks for sharing.

Super delicious! This is a very good recipe. 1) Easy to make. Strip chicken, plop in crock pot, pour ingredients-TAHDAH! 2) My kids loved it and gobbled it up with jasmine rice cooked in a little chicken broth and butter with broccoli 3) Easy clean up. Did I mention this makes a wonderful aromatic, sweet, succulent juicy chicken that falls off the bone ? Great!

Made this yesterday and thought it was very good, had a nice flavor. I did add some red pepper flakes to the sauce, and sprinkled a little S and P over the chicken before putting it in. My bird was 6lbs, so I doubled the recipe, but should not have doubled the olive oil, cause I was skimming the oil off the top before it was all done. I also added onion slices on the bottom of the crock pot to cushion the bird a bit, and they ended up really tasty. I made it in a round slow cooker, and don't know if this helped it stay moist from being almost submerged in the juice the whole time. Flipped it over about halfway through, and it was definitely done quicker than the suggested cooking time. Thanks!

Delightfully moist, with good flavor. I was out of soy, but had Teriyaki sauce on hand and it worked. The chicken was so falling-off-the-bones tender that the biggest problem was getting it out of the crock pot :-) Served it over Basmati rice with a generous ladle of the juice and it made a hit with hubby.

I made this for my husband and our neighbor...we all thought it was delicious! It was so easy to make. I did put slices of butter into the chicken before I put it into the slow cooker..it made it so moist! I also basted the chicken with the juice throughout the day.

8 hours on low is way to long, the crockpot started to create to much water which I'm sure made a lot of the flavor go away. It would have been done at 5 hours and I probably would have liked it.

The chicken was dry and the flavor did not go through the meat. I did not enjoy and neither did my little munchkin.

This was pretty tasty. It had a very nice flavor, but I am trying to try healthier options and this was quite greasy. However, like I said, it had a very nice flavor and I also spooned some of the sauce over rice. Thanks for the recipe.

I made this with Cornish hens, and I was disappointed. There really was hardly any flavor at all. I cooked them on low for 4 hours, and they were pretty tender, but there was only the slightest hint of flavor. Thanks anyway.

Very good chicken. I doubled the ingredients because I had a bigger whole chicken. I think that if I had bothered to make gravy out of the liquid it would have been wonderful, but I wasn't in the mood to do that last night. It certainly makes a lot, but that is good because I can use the chicken and broth for soup or something else!

My family loved this chicken. It was very easy to make from ingredients I had on hand. I didn't have any lemon juice or sesame oil, but the flavor was great just the same. I didn't get it going until noon, so I cooked it on high 2 hours then turned it down to low until we got back from Nordic Ski Club shortly before six. The meat fell off the bone and was flavorul through and through. I served it with rice pilaf, petite broccoli florettes and corn bread. I plan to use the left-over chicken, broccoli and strained sauce for fried rice in a day or two.

I thought this recipe was too good to be true. It just sounded too easy and is so inexpensive to make. It didn't look so great while it was cooking either. I'm not going to lie...it is incredible! It is so flavorful and tender. I cook for two men...my husband and my brother in law, both firefighers, and both good cooks themselves. They just loved this and can't wait to cook it at work. I served it with sushi rice and plain sauted zuchini...which complimented the recipe perfectly. The only thing I altered...I filled the chicken cavity with onion and doubled the liquid. So good!
