in addition to being fairly fast, simple and tasting AWESOME, this recipe is friendly for people with both lactose intolerance AND siliac disease. i used dark chocolate instead of white.

I brought this to a family Christmas gathering, and it seemed to be enjoyed, mostly by the kids. I admit I made a change or two: I used orange-flavored dried cranberries and also added a bit of orange essence to the white chocolate drizzle. (Careful with the orange essence! Since its water and alcohol based, more than a couple drops will ruin the texture of your melted chocolate.) I think my problem with this recipe is that it doesn't taste cohesive - it tastes like rice krispies and cranberries and white chocolate. It's missing that element of magic that turns 'ingredients' into a harmonious dish. However, if you're looking to impress some hungry kids, this is a keeper. One note I'll give on preparation: Timing! Because of the rapid cooling of the corn syrup mixture and also the white chocolate drizzle, you have to be quick on the draw. (For example: Spread out the rice krispie mixture the second its thoroughly mixed.) It worked out for me, but I almost had a mucky mess on my hands!

Very tasty! I couldn't find the Vanilla Rice Krispies so I had to use just the regular, but they were still very good. I thought that the amount of chocolate that went on top was not enough, but they made them just sweet enough. My husband thought that they were too sweet with the chocolate on the top, but he still thought that they tasted good. Thanks.
