Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal
  • 3/4 cup 2% milk
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup red wine

Directions

  1. In large bowl, beat egg slightly. Stir in cereal, milk, onion, Worcestershire, salt, mustard and pepper. Let stand about 5 minutes, until cereal softens. Beat well.
  2. Add ground beef; mix well. Shape into loaf. Place in shallow foil-lined baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  3. Bake at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) about 45 minutes or until cooked in centre. Serve with Mushroom Sauce.
  4. Mushroom Sauce: In medium saucepan over low heat (or in microwave), heat mushroom soup and wine, stirring frequently, until mixture boils. Spoon sauce over sliced meatloaf.
