Wow! I was amazingly impressed. I was in a rush yesterday morning heading out to work but I wanted to throw something together for supper, so I didn't follow the quantities I just threw it all in the slow cooker along with pepper, a dash of bay leaves, cayenne pepper and parsley. And my husbnad added some shredded cheddar cheese and I swear it was the best meal I've ever made. I had it on High for about 3 hours and then on Low for another 5 or 6 and the chicken was so incredibly tender. WOW. definitely going to make that again. I ate it with the potatoes but my husband doesn't like them so he had his over rice. Delicious!

I thought this was really tasty, but I did change things up a bit. There are only the 2 of us so I started out with 2 frozen, boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I browned them on both sides in a skillet with some olive oil and seasonings.(pepper, worchestershire sauce and garlic powder) I cut chicken into bitesized pieces, & then popped the cubed potatoes and chicken in the crock pot. I put the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and onion soup mix (I did not use the cornstarch)in the skillet that I had browned the chicken in and stired it until it was well blended. Poured this over the chicken and potatoes, turned the crock pot on high. Five hours later we dined on this, with peas and carrots, and light rolls. Thanks, Julia, for a great recipe!

Personally I didn't think it was that great but I give it five stars because my family loved it. I doubled all tne sauce ingredients because we are real gravy people and it was the perfect amount. I will make this again for the family.

I did not use milk, I used 1 1/4 can water, I also used 2 cans of garlic cream of mushroom soup, I added one whole onion, and one half bag, baby carrots, could have used whole bag of carrots, I also used creole spice - generous amount, and 2-4 tablespoons of cornstarch to help thicken sauce, I also used chicken thighs with bones and the meat came right off the bone. This was so good and had the whole apt smelling delicious, the neighbors and I enjoyed thoroughly, please take my suggestions to heart, this was awesome.

I cooked the chicken thighs in the slow cooker with chicken broth, then shredded the chicken. I omitted the potatoes, and cooked carrots separately. I served mixed with egg noodles. Very yummy!!

i had to add a can of water to get more liquid on the potatoes and used my own seasonings instead of the dry soup mix and it was wonderful.

This recipe lacked flavor and sauce to eat with the chicken. I think I should have doubled the canned soup to make it creamier.

This is a delicious recipe - I did a little changing. I used 4 chicken breasts and added a can of drained green beans (kitchen cut) and a bunch of baby carrots. I cooked it for about 8 hours on setting 2 of my slow cooker which was just a little above low. I will make this again and again as it was SUPER GOOD.

On the plus side, the chicken and potatoes turned out very tender and perfectly done. However, the onion soup pack in here just did not work. I have cooked with the packets for seasoning before (beef pot roast, etc) and have loved it, but somehow (maybe the milk? chicken? potatoes?) in here the taste was overpowering. I could not finish my portion the first meal, but still saved the rest. I just tried some leftover, and the flavor has mellowed - hopefully, I can manage to eat the rest and not waste 4lbs of chicken breast. Most everyone else on here seems to enjoy this - all I can say is if you try it, be very guarded with the seasoning.

This recipe was ok. My husband liked it better than I did. I think its a good starting point. It needed more vegetables and spices. I found it rather bland.

I changed this recipe so much, that I dont even know if I should rate it. I didnt have any onion packets so I just added 1 real onion. I didnt have any mushroom soup, so I added turkey gravy and a can of chedder cheese, instead of the milk I added 1 can of chicken broth, I did not add corn starch, but instead just salt and pepper. I also added fresh green beans and a can of peas and carronts. I cooked it for 5 hours instead of the 8 hrs, and it was just perfect.I served it with homemade bread. The whole family loved it. Everyone asked me where I got the recipe!

This recipe was so easy and quick to make, but my husband and I loved it. I am a schoolteacher and I definitely plan to make this again during the school year when I am short on time! I only added 1/2 a package of onion soup mix, but next time I will add the whole thing to have more flavor. I also liked that I could only use 4 chicken breasts and less potatoes and carrots to make it smaller for two people.

Wonderful. It was great over rice or noodles. I have modified this all kinds of ways. Great as-is or as a base. Try 1/2 cup white wine or a Zinfandel instead of milk. Also great with small green trees in in it. (Broccoli)
