Incredibly delicious. I used a roasting rack and added stock to the bottom of the pan. The best roast chicken I have ever made!

Great! I added different seasonings also. I cooked mine at 250 for 3 hours since I had time, it was sooo delicious! Thanks for the recipe!!!

I followed recipe to a T and the bird was not done in the amount of time stated. We had to forgo eating chicken that night and instead I made chicken and dumplins with it the next day. The meat was tasty, but wasn't enjoyed the night it was cooked which bummed me out. To get a perfect moist chicken cook it at 250 degrees for 5 hours. Turns out great every time and I wish I would have went with my gut instinct before cooking this one.

This chicken comes out so moist and tender-heaven on a plate. My husband and kids request this meal often. My only additions are minced garlic and pepper into the cavity of the chicken along with potatoes, carrots and onions scattered on the outside. I also sprinkle some additional onion powder on top of the chicken with pepper and minced garlic. During the last 30 minutes of cooking I will generally add some baby portabella mushrooms (you don't want to add them at the beginning of cooking because they will shrivel up and loose flavor). This is a keeper that I will add to the family recipes :) Thanks!!!

Made this tonight and it was spot on. I used butter in stead and cooked ma 3lb bird @350 for 2hrs. Turned out perfect and made a bang up gravy for the mash. Defy make again and again.cheers poster

This was bar none the most delicious chicken I have ever made. I served some to my hubby for dinner and he loved it too, we ate our portions then hovered over the leftovers picking the meat off. It is SUPER moist and juicy. This is definitely going in my recipe vault.

Made this for my family on Mothers Day and was a huge hit. Even picky BF said it was best chicken he has ever had! Went great with Baby red garlic mashed potatoes, cheesy garlic toast and cucumber tomatoe onion salad! I followed recipe exactly and will be making this again!!!
