I have been making this for years and it is my favorite dessert recipe. The only change I make is that I do NOT drain the pineapple so that it moistens the angel food cake when I pour it over. Thanks so much, Joy!

Very Rich but wonderful!!! I used brownie bites in place of the cake because I am a chocolate lover. For the pudding, I used cheesecake flavored. YUMMY!!!

FANTASTIC!!! This recipe is wonderful. I used white chocolate pudding mix (advised by another-thank you) and loved it. My family are total fruitaholics so I added blueberries and mandarin oranges. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to make this for the 4th of July. The strawberries and blueberries will make a great presentation of red, white and blue. I urge everyone to make this. Trust me, you won't regret it. It was easy and absolutely delicious.

WOW - THANK YOU! Outstanding dessert that my family loved - it's in my recipe box now. I followed the hints and combined the bananas and pineapple. I wish I had added a little milk to the pudding - will do that next time. Oh .. and I used cheesecake pudding. WHOO HOOOO

I served this for mothers day and it was gone before I sat down to eat after serving it! I omitted the strawberries and kiwis due to a limited budget and chose to use white chocolate pudding! It turned out very, very well and I will make this one again and again!

I have made this trifle MANY times, and every time I make it, it disappears quickly and everyone raves about it! It does take a bit of time building it, but it looks beautiful when finished. Thanks for the great recipe!

Made this for American friends who had never heard of trifle. I used a little more whipped cream than needed but it still came out good and everyone loved it! Some weight watchers even went back for seconds! I did follow two tips from others and that was to soak the bananas in pineapple juice and to make the pudding separately before mixing into the cream. I will definitely make this again.

LOVE this recipe. I decided to buy low fat vanilla pudding in cups and combine that with the fat free sour cream first. Then I gently folded that into the fat free whipped topping just enough to bring them together and the texture and taste was wonderful! Soaking the banana in the pineapple juice definitely cut down on any browning and I used pineapple chunks, blueberries, banana and strawberries but about double the amount recommended. I will make this again and again. Thanks Joy!

I made this recipe for the first time for a dessert buffet for my child's junior high teachers. I made it the night before and it turned out beautiful and delicious. I used strawberries and blueberries for one fruit layer and the bananas and pineapple for the other. I mixed the (vanilla) pudding with 1 cup of milk before blending with sour cream and whipped topping. The texture was very creamy but not runny -- perfect. I also soaked the bananas in the pineapple juice as recommended and squirted a little lemon juice into the juice for extra protection against browning. Used "store-bought" angel cake. It was simple and delicious. I'm making it again soon for a picnic.

This was a wonderful, light recipe that I made for Easter. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't much left over! The only problem I had was layering everying and making it look nice in the bowl, but that might just come with practice. I cant wait to make this recipe again!

Good, but not outstanding. I would recommend preparing the pudding first as per package directions. I did not, it remained a little grainy/lumpy.
