Fabulous! It works well to substitute 1/2 whole wheat flour. This bread is great served with a small dish of dipping oil (extra virgin olive oil is good) with parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper sprinkled on the oil.

This is great. My friend had a slice and said it tastes just like her favorite bread that she gets at Macaroni Grill!! They only difference is that this bread is not as crunchy on the outside. Anyway, this is a good bread to go with a nice pasta and dinner salad.

WOWZER!!!! This is fantastic bread! Used my bread machine and it couldn't be easier! I use half water half skim milk. I also used a little less dried rosemary. I just didnt fill up the tbs up fill (so maybe 3/4 tbsp). But still very stong flavor. FANTASTIC! Will definatly make again.

Loved it...One Tbsp of fresh rosemary is the perfect essence and the cracked black pepper is an imperative and flavorsome addition. The crumb has swirled texture with substance unlike soft white bread. Must try!

This is a perfect bread recipe ... very easy and delicious. I have made it in the bread machine and also just mixed up and kneaded myself. Works great both ways. The bread machine gives me a more tender crust but a less interesting texture; when I make my own loaves it has a crisper crust and a chewier texture. YMMV but it's great either way.

This worked out great in the bread machine. It's a very wet dough, but turns out fine. It was much too salty for me, so I'm going to reduce the salt to 1 teaspoon next time I make it.

Oh my goodness this bread is amazing! I love the bread from Macaroni Grill and I swear this one is even better! I followed the directions exactly except for adding in an extra 1/4 tsp of garlic powder. I was a little skeptical of this bread when putting it in--it makes a very moist dough and it seemed better suited to a pan than a cookie sheet to me, and sure enough, the second rise (on pan) turned it more into foccacia than bread. However, I reshaped it, put it in the oven, and did the last 15 minutes with a tray with ice cubes (crisper crust--same as misting)...just tasted it and it is FANTASTIC!

Wow, what a great recipe!!!! I have made this recipe a couple of times and have switched out the herbs to what I have on hand. Always taste great. I especially like that the texture the bread the next day is still good. Sometime home made bread has to be eaten the same day, but this one last a day or two. Thanks for sharing

This recipe is great! I made it for Father's Day and I used fresh rosemary from our garden which was perfect! Since I didn't have Italian Seasoning, I used fresh oregano and basil!! Thank you for posting this recipe.

this is a very nioce herb bread. Highly recommended. subtle and tastey. We placed a pan of water on the bottom of the oven and sprayed the loaf durinf baking with water - we have been told that this, along with a higer temperature results in a thicker crust. We loved it !

I made this recipe by hand, as I don't have a bread machine. I totally goofed up this entire recipe when I made it, (bread is not my forte). I ended up adding so much more of everything that I just ended up feeling better about pulling the dough apart and making it into biscuits. WOW...they turned out FABULOUS! I used a ton of fresh rosemary from my garden too. Could've been softer on the inside, (but that was definitely my fault). The strangest thing about it though, was that they tasted almost "buttery", yet they have no butter in them??? Thanks Jo, for a great recipe!

So good! Really enjoyed this bread. I think it would make great sandwiches, too -- like leftover roasted turkey or chicken breasts. I made the dough in the bread machine, then shaped it into a log, cut some small slits in top, let it rise, and baked it in the oven. I'm not crazy about the "look" of bread baked in my bread machine. This way it looked like artisan bread!

This bread is amazing. My son cut the first piece and when he bit into it said "This is just like the Macaronni grill bread." I used fresh rosemary (1 tablespoon minced) and it was just right for our taste. I also made this by hand not bread machine, shaped into an oval loaf and baked 375 till lightly browned. This goes in the "keeper" file under "Family says this is best bread ever!"

I made this without a breadmaker using the advice of other reviewers. I added about 1/2 TBSP more rosemary which was a mistake, it was a little overpowering. The crust on this bread is amazing!

Simply amazing! I made this by hand using oregano instead of Italian seasoning and it was divine. Five stars is not enough!

This bread is my new favorite! I made it two nights in a row, sent half home with my mother who makes her own bread. I used a little more than a T. fresh rosemary, but I really like the taste of it. Thanks for sharing!
