I used eckrich smoked sausage instead, because I don't like italian sausage. It was precooked so I think it made it even faster to cook. I added zucchini and mushrooms and that was really good. Overall a very tasty dish that can be tweaked to your tastes easily. Yum!! Oh and I thought the fresh parsley was a waste of time. I bought it, in the only way it came, big grouped bunches and I used the tiniest bit and I doubt I will use it again before it goes bad. Next time I'll just use dry parsley seasoning.
