I'm looking at the 4 and a half star review on this one and scratching my head. Guess I'm just an odd ball, because I didn't even bother to bake the rest of the batter after I tasted the first batch. Not at all what I think of as a peanut butter cookie!

Great recipe I made it for the guys at work and they barely lasted a half hour! Thanks~! Oh one more thing I bake my cookies 325 for 8 minute and the came out soft and golden. careful though if you're transporting them they crumble easily

Good! I made them like the recipe says and they turned out very tasty. They were even fine for me to roll between my hands into balls (without using water). Apparently my friend Brittany's fiance Matt loves peanut butter cookies and these were no exception!

These are very easy to make and taste alright. I didn't care much for these but the rest of my family loved them. In my opinion, they're a little too heavy.

These were very good cookies, just not the type that i was expecting. I was looking for the 'traditional' type of PB cookie (ie like that in the better homes and gardens cook book). These cookies turned out really great, even though the dough was very soft (i followed recipe to a t and didn't change a thing). Just keep in mind that although they are a great cookie, they may not be exactly the PB cookie you are expecting.

I have been hunting for a good Peanut Butter Cookie recipe for the last four months... This is by far the best! Everyone liked them. I didn't change one thing. The only change i plan on making in the future is Splenda/whole wheat pastry flour to make them a little bit healthier.

I normally don't like peanut butter cookies, but I made these for a friend and they are excellent! Very light and soft!

I gave a 4 star do to the fact they fall apart easy! I read someone else had the same problem. Maybe i will try to make them smaller and leave them on the pan to cool. Otherwise the taste is good. just not a cookie i could share with friends!

I love these peanut butter cookies. They are definitely more chewy than the ones I had as a kid, but the only recipes I can find to make a more crispy cookie use shortening and I'll pass on that. Make sure you let them set for a few minutes before trying to handle them, but 5-10 minutes out of the oven they started disappearing fast!

Wow, these totally fell apart, completely! I followed the recipe to the letter, and they just did not hold together at all. Tasted okay... but no better than the traditional recipe. Update: I believe the key to these being successful would be that you'd have to allow them to cool on the pan for a long time before taking them off. Today the cookies have hardened quite nicely. The taste better today too.

These look good, an easy recipe to make, and have good consistency, but not as peanut buttery as I was hoping. I'll blame store brand peanut butter. Do refrigerate for a while before scooping out to form better balls.

Loved this recipe - thought the cookies were perfect! The only thing I changed was I cut down the salt and I used half cup creamy peanut butter, half cup crunchy peanut butter (just for personal preference). Thanks for sharing this recipe - I will be making these cookies many more times!

I'm sorry for giving this only 3 stars, but the dough was way too runny to form into anything at all. I added 1/3 cup of quick oats, formed the dough into balls, then rolled them in gran. sugar. They came out perfect and tasted fantastic, but only after I tweaked the recipe.

The cookies were good. I had no problems with this recipe as other AR users have. I used natural peanut butter. When I did the criss-cross pattern, I dipped my spoon in powdered sugar before making the pattern on the cookie.
