These are okay. they are little crumbly. I made as stated. I think I like cookies better with a little whole wheat flour in it.

Really good! I used natural peanut butter and it was a bit dry so I added a little extra oil to soften it up a bit and make it more creamy. I will definitely make these again. I also added some extra sugar because of using natural PB.

I've never written a review before -- this is very exciting. Okay, so I'm a woman on a binge and what is my weapon of choice? Ahhh peanut butter cookies. That said....these were the strangest peanut butter cookies I've ever made. I thought maybe I'd done something wrong but it's such a simple recipe there's nothing to do wrong. Someone else mentioned that their batter was fluffy and delicious -- mine too. Thing is my batter was so fluffy and light I couldn't roll the dough into balls. And forget trying to flatten the cookie or add sugar (to enhance the taste as per everyone else's review). Not possible. The most disappointing part was when my cookies exited the oven. They were flat as pancakes and, of course, became flatter as they cooled. This was not the satisfyingly decadent peanut butter cookie of my dysfunctional childhood.

Around 7:30 tonight, I got a major hankering for something sweet. After a quick glance in my cabinet, I realized there were few things I could make. I decided peanut butter cookies would be best and came to allrecipes for help. I tried this one. Not only was it quick and easy, these are quite possibly the best peanut butter cookies I've ever tasted. I used my Kitchenaid mixer to blend the ingredients and chilled the dough a bit while the oven preheated. I baked for 10 minutes and they were perfect. I've already added this recipe to my permanent collection. It's so good.

These cookies were pretty good, but I think I'm going to try a couple other PB cookie recipes on here until I find the best recipe.

GREAT cookie recipe!! I served these to a group of my husband's friends....several big, hungry men and they went over fantastically. They all said they were the best pb cookies they've ever had. Thank you for this amazing recipe! You made me a winner with the guys!

This was the best Peanut Butter Cookies ever! I don't know how you could end up with runny batter or crumbly cookies... maybe read the recipe more closely. And someone already reviewed and wrote about how she sprinkled sugar on top before she baked them, this was a GREAT idea, and it made the cookies taste really good. I will for sure use this recipe again!

i wasn't really impressed with these...and neither was anyone else who ate them at my house. i used natural pb so maybe it was because of that the flavor wasn't great.

Very disappointed! They tasted ok, not peanut buttery enough though. I was looking for a soft cookie but this was way to crumbly, I could barely get them off the pan in one piece. Even 3 days later they're super crumbly. Will not make again!

I hate peanut butter cookies. I hate the dry and sandy texture of traditionally made ones. But my boyfriend requested these so I decided to try this recipe out. Turns out, I do like peanut butter cookies, when they're made like this. lol This recipe was really easy. I don't understand why it hasn't turned out for others. I didn't have butter so I used margarine which made the cookies flat but the texture was exactly how I like my cookies, slightly crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle, the taste is really good too. I don't understand why people say these aren't peanut buttery enough, b/c they are. I rolled them the size of walnuts and rolled them in sugar since sugar really does bring out the flavor of peanut butter and I ended up with 3 1/2 dozen. I also baked only one sheet at a time on the upper middle rack in the oven at the suggested time for 8 minutes. They came out perfect. If u do use margarine, don't bother pressing any designs into the cookies because once they're baked, they flatten out so much you can't see them.

Add some chocolate chips to this cookie and it make a nice twist on an old favorite. I agree with some of the other reviewers that this recipe doesn't produce a very peanut buttery flavor. I probably would not use this recipe as my main peanut butter cookie recipe, but it works well as a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipe.

AWESOME! I did exactly as the recipe stated and I baked for 8 min. and these came out delicious! Even the next day (in which I had in a zip lock bag--I tend to bake 6 cookies only at a time..that way dough is made up for anytime we'd like a couple of cookies. Needless to say, they were still chewy and great. They did 'not' crumble nor did they turn 'hard' as most folks have stated. GREAT RECIPE!

Texture's good, flavor's GREAT, but they totally crumble. I'd put only one cross hatch in them. Also, I added 1/3 cup of flour because I thought it looked way too runny. Over all, though, pretty gosh darn good.
