This is great on grilled hot dogs. The original recipe hails from Coney Island, NY where hot dogs by the beach are served with a similar sauce topping.

Liven up your hot dog by topping it with this spicy ground beef sauce. For a real treat, sprinkle your saucy dog with shredded Cheddar cheese and chopped raw onions.

Prosciutto and ground beef give hearty flavor to a delicious simmer of roma tomatoes, garlic, onion and tomato paste. Add dollops of butter to the sauce for a rich finish.

Brandi's Best Burgers

These burgers are definitely crowd pleasers! Perfect for family get-togethers and summer cookouts. They are complimented nicely by baked beans and potato salad. Serve between sesame seed or whole wheat buns and, if desired, plenty of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. I also like to use Hickory flavored wood chips when I BBQ to add additional flavor to the meat. If you use wood chips, soak them in water for about an hour, then spread them over the hot coals just before grilling.
