I made them into minis so my 1 1/2 year old daughter could eat them without making a huge mess of crumbs. They were a big hit.

This was great! I made these instead of cupcakes for my son's school birthday party. The kids loved it, and several grown-us did too! A healthier and more popular substitute for cupcakes!

These were pretty good. i loved the nutmeg, i'm a nutmeg fanatic. But there was a slight baking powder taste (maybe add just a little less), and there wasn't enough batter to really fill the cups, so in some the jelly sank all the way to the bottom. I used strawberry preserves.

The dough was very thick- more like biscuits than muffins. However, they disappeared very quickly at work this morning. I only got 10 muffins out of the recipe - I filled half with sandhill plum jelly and the other half with peach preserves. If you don't like nutmeg you might want to cut back or substitute cinnamon.
