The dough was very thick- more like biscuits than muffins. However, they disappeared very quickly at work this morning. I only got 10 muffins out of the recipe - I filled half with sandhill plum jelly and the other half with peach preserves. If you don't like nutmeg you might want to cut back or substitute cinnamon.
