I used olive oil instead of canola also added some garlic at the end because I thought this was just a little bland.

This is a great way to spice up your beans every now and then! I used two cans of french style green beans, added a little less canola oil and a little more sesame oil. I also left out the sesame seeds and added garlic. Yum!

Even the kids loved this recipe. I added 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms and two garlic cloves so I increased the oils and soy sauce a little bit too.

Finally a good recipe for fresh green beans. I used toasted sesame oil because that's what I keep in the house. Since I didn't have sesame seeds, I tossed in some garlic after I took it off the heat. The green beans were cooked perfectly and my kids who normally hate cooked fresh green beans came back for seconds and thirds!

These were good, not outstanding and I would probably make them again just for a different way of preparing green beans. Next time I'll use toasted slivered almonds though, I prefer their flavor over sesame seeds.

Good flavor - a nice way to have green beans. My kids (4 and 2) loved it and my husband (who hates green beans) even had seconds!

Easy and quick, but lacked flavor for me. Was ok in the end because the dish I made it with was flavorful.

This recipe is so easy AND tasty! I have made it twice and envision it ALWAYS remaining near the very top of the list of favorite ways to make green beans. I followed the recipe fairly faithfully, but added the soy sauce to the pan while it was still on the heat. The soy sauce reduces a bit this way and may help to hold the sesame seeds on the beans better (I had no problems with them coming off as mentioned by a previous reviewer).

This recipe turned out great! The only substitution I made was for toasted sesame oil from Trader Joe's. They had a great "toasted" flavor. The only thing I would change is to cut down on the oil just a little bit. They turned out a little on the greasy side. Maybe next time I'll try blanching the green beans first, also.

I only made 1/2 pound green beans but kept the other ingredients the same. Even so, we thought the beans were bland and we didn't like the consistency. Might be better to steam them first.

These were awesome! Used EVOO instead of canola oil and added red pepper flakes for some added zing. Loved the crunchiness of the beans. Weren't mushy....very tasty! Even good re-heated the next day. Will be making these again very soon.
