It makes a fine banana bread, but nothing special. It won't make me switch from my usual banana bread recipe.

This is excellent! The only change I made was to add some cinnamon suger to the top. We gobbled this up in an afternoon and I making another batch as I type this review. Very easy, quick and yummy!

Good flavor, but a bit light and cakey. I prefer banana bread to be a little more dense and moist.

This is the BEST banana bread I have ever made (and I've been looking for a good recipe for years!). This will be my recipe from now on. I adjusted a few things to suit my family's taste. I used 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup unsweetend applesauce, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, added 1/4 cup more flour, a dash of cinnamon, and 1 cup mashed bananas. Result was a fluffy and moist banana bread!

Very yummy. Added some spice like nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and a little ginger....just eyeballed it. Added extra walnuts and sprinkled a cinnamon/white sugar/brown sugar combination on top before baking for a little bit of a sweet crunchy crust.

This recipe won over my boyfriend's pre-teen daughter, who hadn't met me but decided she wouldn't like me. I left a batch of this and she asked her dad if she could text me to ask about the recipe -- and now we're kitchen buddies!

I used my kitchenaid mixer for the butter and sugar and mashed the bananas as others suggested. I added both cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter and a cinnamon sugar mixture to the top before baking. Definitely yummy!

A good banana bread. I used mashed banananas instead of sliced, added some cinnamon to the batter and sprinkled a little cinnamon sugar on the top.

Moist and delicious! There is no way to mess this one up. I usually over bake my banana bread and it comes out dry but adding the sour cream to this practically guarantees it will be moist. I tweaked the recipie ever so slightly. Instead of melting the butter, I creamed it with the sugar. I also mashed 3 small bananas, which measured out to 1 heaping cup. I added a dash of cinnamon and a tiny pinch of ground cloves. It is the best banana bread I ever made according to my 5 year old! Thanks for the recipie.

YUM! I followed the recipe except for a couple minor things: I mashed the banana and used slightly more than one cup, I added a handful of chocolate chips because it's what my boyfriend likes, and I used fat free sour cream. I baked for the hour at 350 just like the recipe calls for and it came out moist and delicious! All I keep hearing from the kitchen is that "this bread is sooo good!"

This is by far the best banana bread ever. I only added (changed) 3 things. Per the suggestion of others, I added one more banana and mashed the banana's. I also caramelize my walnuts by lightly heating them with 1 tbsp of salted butter and 1 tbsp sugar. This is something my grandmother always did with any banana nut recipe. The banana bread came out tender, moist and absolutely delicious.
