OMG This is the best banana bread I have ever made I made a few changes I uaed four bananas instead of two and I mashed the bananas instead of slicing them. I made this recipe for a bake sale at work and boy it was a big hit. Then I made it again a week later and my husband took the bread to work and once again it was a big hit. Everyone that has tried this bread wants the recipe, This recipe is a keeper thanks for posting.

This is my go to Banana bread recipe. It always comes out perfect for me. I don't make any changes to this recipe. But I always double it.

Brilliant! I didn't have any nuts so I jazzed it up with a good shot of nutmeg and some cinnamon. Delicious!

Yum! I made 12 mini-muffins (for the toddler) and a loaf out of this recipe. Very moist with a tad of crust on the outside. I did mash/mix the bananas into the batter. I also substituted one of the eggs for flaxseed. Very pleased with the end result. Thanks.

YUM! The best banana bread I've ever made! My husband was impressed with the moist bread. I made two batches. One for my son's school - mini-muffins it made 60 mini muffins. I cooked them at 350 for 12 min. After we sampled a few I knew I needed to make more for the house. So I made 6 large rose cakes with another batch. I did make some alterations per other reviewers. I did not melt the butter. I used room temperature butter and creamed it with the sugar. Then I added 1 tsp of lemon juice with the vanilla. I'm not sure that I noticed the flavor, so maybe I'll add a bit more next time. Finally I added 1 3/4 cups of flour. It really was perfect. This will be my go to recipe!

This bread has good taste and is very easy to make...but I think you need to use 2 - pans...mine overflowed and the top was burnt before I could get the inside to be cooked. I think if you split into two pans the problem will be solved

Made this with substitutions so it was a more healthful bread (egg sub, butter sub, fat free sour cream), but it was still delicious! Sticky, sweet crust, moist on the inside. Yum!

Amazing! Even my overly picky mother loved it, and that's saying a lot! Mash the bananas forsure, I just threw them in the stand up mixer before adding the dry ingriedients. Overmixing didn't seem to ruin this recipe like it does other banana bread recipes for some reason??? I baked mine in a silicone bundt pan for easier slicing and presentation. YUMMMMMMMMM

I've used a dozen banana bread recipes, but no more. This is IT. There are probably recipes out there with less fat, calories, sugar...but I'll take this one over them all. I, too, mashed the bananas. This is worth baking loaves to eat now and some to freeze for later.

This is my go-to Banana Bread. I have never found a more moist bread, and it makes excellent muffins as well. I do, like most others, mash my bananas instead of slicing them.

Have tried at least 6 other banana bread recipes in searching for the perfect one - and this is a keeper! So moist and delicious. Adding 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips was a nice touch.

OMG! This is the BEST banana bread recipe. I've been searching for the last 15 years, tried many recipies and finally have found a recipe that I will make forever. This one is actually the best. I mashed the bananas instead of chopping them, but other than that I followed it to the letter. Can't be beat. End of story.

I made this the first time and couldn't stop eating it. It is so moist and delicious... seriously the best I have ever had. The second time I made it, I added a streusel topping before baking and it was even more delicious! This recipe will be in my recipe collection FOREVER!

Can you call bread beautiful? This was amazing.... I think my family is going to boycott eating fresh bananas so that they will get overly ripe so that I will have to make this again. I read the review and compromised on the mashed/chopped issue. I mashed 2 bananas, and quartered(lenghtwise) and finely chopped the last banana. I was out of sour cream, but somehow had cream, so I added vinegar to turn it into sour cream. I had some problems getting it out of the pan--I greased with butter.

Dang it, that's good! Sliced bananas as instructed, but folding them into the mixture squished them a bit. Had a slice straight out of the pan with butter - yum, but this morning I had a toasted slice with honey nut cream cheese... Yummm!
