This is great and foolproof. Like other reviewers, I mashed the bananas. Having had other banana bread disasters, this one was simple and delicious!

I think this is the best recipe on ar. I live in Turkey and there is no sour cream. I use plain yogurt instead and it is absolutely delicious.

This is a great banana bread recipe. Delicious, moist and recipe was easy to follow. However, maybe it's my oven (7 yrs old) but when baked at 350, the bottom of bread was still not fully cooked, but deep brown on the outside. I may have to lower oven temp and bake for 60 minutes. Adding chopped bananas definitely helped the bread have a concentrated banana taste (just how I like it).

Love the simplicity of this recipe and the fact it is absolutely moist and delicious. Only changes I made was using 3 large bananas that I whipped with mixer and being a little more generous with the vanilla. Was great baked in muffin tins with choc. chips! Will use recipe again and again.

VERY DELICIOUS! Nice and moist. Like others have said, I mashed my bananas. However, I think I will try slicing them next time because I'm never able to get that distinct banana taste. Will review again later.

Delicious banana bread! I followed naples 34102's suggestions and used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white. I left out the walnuts for my husband, but next time I'm putting them in for me! I think this would even be good substituting chocolate chips for the walnuts.

I didn't have sour cream so I used half milk and half water. Still came out quite moist! I also added chocolate chips and they were delicious! I would recommend mashing the bananas. I didn't have walnuts so I chopped almonds with a knife and sprinkled them on top which worked well.

Very good. I rated four stars only because it needed some additions. With the changes, it is perfect. I made the same changes as many other reviewers (added 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 50% baking soda/50% baking powder, 50% white sugar/50% brown sugar, mashed the bananas). I also covered with foil for the last 20 min of baking.

This recipe was AWESOME, with a few minor changes. Instead of using melted butter, I creamed softened butter with the sugar. I used mashed bananas instead of sliced. I also added about one tsp of cinnamon for a little extra flavor. Will make this recipe over and over!

Instead of bananas I added half a cup of pumpkin puree along with a pinch of nutmeg, ginger, and a 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. Came out delicious!

With some minor variations this is an amazing banana bread recipe. Instead of chopping the bananas, I mash them to a pulp. And I use 3. I also add equal quantities of baking soda and baking powder. And I use 1 tablespoon vanilla instead of 1 teaspoon. Since discovering this recipe a couple of months ago I've made it about half a dozen times, and each time it is wonderful. The only real variable is the bananas!

OMG This is the best banana bread I have ever made I made a few changes I uaed four bananas instead of two and I mashed the bananas instead of slicing them. I made this recipe for a bake sale at work and boy it was a big hit. Then I made it again a week later and my husband took the bread to work and once again it was a big hit. Everyone that has tried this bread wants the recipe, This recipe is a keeper thanks for posting.

Yum! I made 12 mini-muffins (for the toddler) and a loaf out of this recipe. Very moist with a tad of crust on the outside. I did mash/mix the bananas into the batter. I also substituted one of the eggs for flaxseed. Very pleased with the end result. Thanks.
