I've made this recipe for 2 years now and it is the BEST banana bread ever!!! Super moist and not overly sweet. The only thing I do differently is I mash the bananas and not slice them. Enjoy....we certainly have.

This is the best banana bread I have ever tasted! I will not bother making any other recipe from now on. The only thing that I did differently was smash the banana's instead of slicing them. It turned out wonderful!! Thanks for the GREAT recipe.

I loved this bread. Made as is. The texture was like bread pudding, try serving in a desert cup with alittle chocolate sauce and whip cream. Wonderfuly moist.

I've made this recipe "as is" many times and love it. However, I've been trying to eat healthier lately and have been juicing. Today, instead of the bananas I added the pulp from my morning juice (apple, pear, cucumber and carrot). Also, instead of the sour cream I used 1/2 c. of fat free plain yogurt. The bread turned out fabulous!!

OMG! So good! I was looking for a recipe that was the same as a banana bread I had in Maui on the road to Hana, and this was it. I did change a few things though. I used 4 bananas and I did mash them. I also made with brown sugar, to make it a little more rich. WOW! Try it this way and you will never use another recipe....... ever! To switch it up, also try adding a cup of chocolate chips. We made a few loafs this way too, and my son and hubby loved it.

Absolutely delicious! I was very happy with this recipe! I chose to mash the bananas rather than slice them and I omitted the walnuts. I will definitely make this again!

Out. of. this. world. Wow. Rich, yet delicate...a wonderful bread. After reading reviews, I (like I tend to do) followed the advice of Naples34102: soft butter (not melted), tsp of lemon juice. I really think this will solve the issues of the banana browning that some have experienced. I will admit, my bread has only been out of the oven for 30 minutes... I couldn't wait any longer to test it. WOW. It is so good! I can see why people eat the whole loaf right away! I sprinkled just half the loaf with chopped nuts for coworkers who do not care for nuts. I am sure this will be a HUGE hit!! **used light sour cream.

Very good recipe. I've made this twice. Only change I made was to add golden raisins to the batter. YUM! I did mash the bananas as recommended by other reviews.

This is by far the best banana bread I have ever had. I added macademia nuts and black walnuts, as well as coconut and pineapple, and everyone loved it. I even had someone request this to be made with splenda, which I will be making tonight. Yum yum.

This was a delicious banana bread! I mashed the bananas because we have young kids who wouldn't have liked the sliced bananas in the bread. I found it browned very quickly about half-way through cooking time so I had to put aluminum foil on it so it wouldn't brown anymore. I have made it twice and the second time I made sure to take it out of the pan after 10 minutes like the recipe says. the first time I made it it was a little too brown on the edges.

Delicious. I bake this bread at least once a week and it is so easy to make. I do mash the bananas instead of slicing them and I use pecans instead of the walnuts. My daughters are always wanting me to make them a loaf but most of the time my little 87 year old Dad gets it. Again, this recipe is perfect.
