A very delicious salad! My whole family loved it. I reduced the sugar in the dressing because it was a little too sweet the first time I made it. 1/4 cup does the trick. I also broiled the almonds in a pan with some butter and sprinked with sugar to give them an extra candy crunch. Then i chopped up some bacon as an extra edition which was DELICIOUS. The salt in it balanced the sugar and made a world of differance. A perfect start to a meal..or as a light meal itself!

I have made this recipe at least 4 times now, bringing it to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for the past few years. It is becoming a staple at the holiday table that people ask for. Even the non-salad eaters enjoy it. People also fight over the left overs. If you go easy on the dressing the salad will easily keep for a lovely lunch the next day.

Very good. I didn't have poppy seeds or sesame seeds and this was still awesome, can't wait to try the recipe as written

This is a wonderful refreshing salad. I followed the other suggestions: substituted Craisins for the cranberries and I toasted the seasame seeds and almonds for about 10 minutes at 350. I omittted the poppy seeds altogether, not sure if it would add any extra taste or not. The seasame seeds did add a good touch so I suggest not to omit them.

I've made this recipe mulitple times and the only change I make is swapping out the spinach for a mixed baby field greens (from Sams club). No other changes. Whatever greens you use, it's phenomenal! Made a double batch last night to take to a banquet and both bowls were gone in minutes way before the conventional salads! Perfect for pot lucks, easy to assemble at site. Highly recommend, try it, you will NOT be sorry!

I kept the dressing as healthy as possible, so I did not use butter. I used a pack of trail mix instead of the individual seeds. I also used balsamic vinegar to substitute both of the vinegar. Added olive oil instead of vegetable oil. The salad dressing is a hit everytime and people always ask for the recipe.

We all enjoyed this. We don't eat sugar, so I dried my own cranberries and used splenda in the dressing.

Delicious salad! I usually don't like fruit/nuts in my salad, but made this for a party, and decided to try it because everyone was raving about it... wow, yum! There was a tiny bit left over, which I ended up eating the next day, wilted leaves and all. It was that good!

Simple, easy and delicious. You can use walnuts or pecans instead of almonds. I also add blue or gorgonzola cheese. I find the dressing ratio to be a bit off for my taste. I only use 1/4 cup of cider vinegar and leave out the white wine vinegar, but as others have said, any vinaigrette will work here. As a main dish, you can add some grilled chicken chunks.
