JELL-O Popcorn Balls

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pkg. (4 serving size) JELL-O Brand Gelatin, any flavor
  • 1 1/2 cups PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts, coarsely chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place popcorn in large bowl.
  2. Mix syrup and sugar in saucepan; bring to boil. Remove from heat. Add gelatin; stir until dissolved. Add peanuts.
  3. Pour over popcorn; mix well. Cool about 5 minutes. Shape into 18 balls, each about 3 inches in diameter.

Just what I remember as a child!!!! So yummy!! I used wild strawberry jello. It was so tangy and sweet. My hubby and kids ate these fast. (okay, me too!) We will for sure be making these again. We didn't add the nuts. *moisten your hands with water to make the balls. They won't stick to you that way*

Easy, fun, and delicious! My family loved them! We also left out the nuts due to an allergy.

Just like when I was a kid. I think I didn't pop enough corn because I had a lot of syrup left over.
