If I could give 6 stars I would! WOW that's good chili! I decided to follow the recipe exactly for my first attempt & I'm not changing it! It's very good as chili, but could also be used as a nacho sauce. I sprinkled with shredded cheese, added some sour cream & scooped it with corn nacho chips....amazing! Thanks so much for the recipe.

We loved this chili! Used 4 cans of beans (2 pinto/2 kidney), added a couple cloves of garlic, celery and carrots, and served over whole wheat pasta.

This is really good. Made it in the Crock pot. Cut back about half on the spices. Not a real fan of a lot of heat. Will make again. GO BEARS

This was really good! I didn't have tomato juice, so I did a bit of improvising. I used a can of tomato soup, added half a can of water, 2 cans of tomato sauce, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, and a can of crushed tomatoes. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly, but just let it simmer for a few hours on low in my dutch oven. Has a nice kick to it. Very tasty with cheese, sour cream, and fritos :)

Very yummy. I doubled the beans (4 cans instead of 2) and added a tablespoon of cocoa powder. I simmered it for about 1 hour (with the lid off) and all the flavors seemed perfect together. I served it over elbow noodles and sprinkled cheddar cheese on top. I will make this again.

I thought this was pretty good! It was a little watery so I would cut down on the tomato juice next time. I used 2 cans black beans, 1 can pinto beans and 1 can red beans. I will make again!

I love this chili recipe. It is perfect for cool nights when we have a lot of practices. (like tonight) All the kids love this chili. I do have some that are not fans of green peppers, so I do ommit those every once in a while. It has been a little thin when I make it on the stove, so I add a little bit of tomato paste to thicken it up. Great recipe! Thanks George!!

What a great base recipe. I also used diced tomatoes instead of tomato juice, upped the kidney beans as here in Australia couldnt find pinto. Put it in my crockpot and just magic after 8 hours. This is a real keeper.

I was very very VERY happy with this recipe!! So many chili recipes these days try to add new ingredients, making chili not taste like the good old-fashion, hearty, tomato-based chili that I grew up on. This one was perfect in my eyes!!! I even followed the recipe exactly and it suited my taste without having to play with any seasonings! Loved it!

I really liked it, my husband liked it though he doesn't like beans in his chili. The kids, on the other hand, were mixed in their reviews but what do they know? ;) I will make this again.
