LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE! I took the advice of some other reviwers and doubled the spices. Also cut down on the amount of tomato juice.

Great "standard" chili recipe! I made a few adjustments mentioned in some of the other comments, including adding a can of diced tomatoes and using V8 juice.

Very good! I didn't follow it exactly because I didn't have any tomato juice so I instead used a can of diced tomatoes, a can of diced tomotoes with peppers. I also included 1/4 c brown sugar and a handful leftover peppers I had from the garden. It was great!

I like chunks of tomato so I use tomato sauce instead of juice and diced tomatoes in sauce instead of tomato sauce. This is so simple to just throw together. It has the right amount of spice for me and is great as leftovers!

Excellent! Loved the tomato juice in this. I did a couple packages of Williams chili seasoning and ommited the chili powder. Still added cumin and oregano. Used chili seasoned tomato sauce and chili beans. Very good chili.

This is the first recipe that I ever tried off of the internet...about 8 years ago. I remember this because the printed version of the recipe is still with me after 8 years and 4 houses later. I can't tell you exactly how many times I have made this chili, but it has been alot. I make it the same way every time. If you follow George's recipe you will be pleased. I do not recommend the slow cooker. I have only tried it that way once. The taste was good but the ground beef came out a littley clumpy. To this day my wife, who did not like chili before, will not let me attempt a new recipe, not even for the sake of experimentation. It's a good chili recipe that a majority of the people are really going to enjoy.

Wow, this was good! I was almost tempted to put in some garlic, but decided to wait and see how the flavor turned out without it first. It definitely didn't need any adjustments. I followed the recipe as stated and it was perfect. One of the best chilis I've ever had.

This recipe was wonderful! I'm so glad to have an easy traditional chili recipe. Since I was just cooking for two, I cut the recipe in half but kept the same amount of beans and added 1 can of diced tomatoes. You can definitely play around with the recipe and have a wonderful dish every time. Make this!

I think this was great chili, it was a hit at my home. I didn't have tomato juice so I used vegetable juice and it worked just as well. I would probably add a bit more meat in it next time, but that's just a personal preference.

This is a great base for a chili recipe, which can then be altered to your taste. I didn't use any of the sweet ingredients because we don't like sweet mixed in with our food. I make this all the time!

My family now makes this occasionally because it is so good. It tastes better too the next day! The only thing I have done is added a little less chili powder and that makes it a little less spicy for me but besides that this recipe is good!

I just made this and it was delicious. I added a little more Cayenne Pepper to give it a punch. I got lucky. This was my first time making Chili and it was borderline too spicy for me but my Husband loves it. Next time around I will definitely add chunky tomatoes for more texture and flavor. But this Chili as is would be great, too.

Wow, this was really really delicious! I used ground chicken instead of beef because it was on sale at the grocery store (haha), and I used two teaspoons of cayenne pepper instead of 1/8th of a teaspoon (that really seems negligibly small) and 1 extra teaspoon of salt. Other than that I followed the directions exactly!

I made this chili for my dad and Uncles for football Sunday and it was a big hit! I took the advice from other reviews and substituted diced tomatoes in their own juices for the tomato juice, and it made the chili nice and hearty. I also added an extra half a can of both beans and it made all the difference.
