This meatloaf does not fill the pan very high - will double the recipe next time. Tomato sauce with some dried basil sprinkled over is a perfect topping, but I may just try pasta sauce in the future.
It was too bland and very mushy not firm.
I followed the recipe as written and it was super simple and a big hit - great combination! So much so that the next time I saw ground turkey on sale, I made enough for 3, put each in it's own freezer bag and stored them for easy week night dinners, just thaw and bake. Thanks for the addition to my " freezer food" repertoire!
This recipe is amazing! Followed above with no alterations using new Newman own tomato sauce. Very moist, tasteful, and healthy! I will definitely be making this again!
I give this recipe 5 stars. I baked it as per the recipe using gluten free breadcrumbs and adding italian seasoning to them. I then topped it with a brownsugar/ketchup/mustard glaze I found on this site instead of the tomato sauce. yummy!!!!!!
What a simple wonderful meal!! Very flavorful, I added some diced onions and used lemon pepper instead of black pepper and it was great!! Add the extra tomato sauce on top ad sprinkle some Parmesan cheese and you're good to go.
Great recipe! Can be improved with diced onions and fresh ground turkey.
For turkey meatloaf this is great! I ran out of garlic (can you believe it?) so I added a little garlic powder. I also added 1/4 c of water so it wouldn't dry out. I also added a chopped onion. We will definitely make this again. Just FYI, this made about 5 servings for us.
