On super hot summer days, these are the type of meals that fill you up and cool you down - VERY very good. I prefer making it in the morning, and putting it in the fridge until dinner. All you need is some good french bread and butter, and VOILA!

Really good! I made this for my family for dinner and it was a hit...which was good, because it made a lot! I figured 4 servings wouldn't be enough, so I doubled the recipe and ended up with a very large bowlful! It was just as good, if not better, the next day, though! Pretty easy except for the chopped vegetables, which took a little while, but on the whole, a great recipe that I'll probably make again! It would be great for potlucks or get-togethers!

This is an excellent salad to travel with. I made it the night before and it was awesome--minus the canned tomatoes. I would either do them fresh or forget them. This is a great base for a recipe if you want to add/take out veggies or meats.
