The chucks of tomatos turned me off. Maybe chopping them would help. I thought the taste was very bland.

Very tasty! It was very balanced, very flavorful--it didn't need any extra sauce like some meatloafs. It was little greasy...but how do you avoid that with a pound and a 1/2 of hamburger?

My family loved this. I made it with half ground check and half ground turkey. I also cut the cheese in half and no one noticed. Everyone, even my picky six year old loved it!

Excellent Meat Loaf recipe. It's even great cold in a sandwich with a little ketchup on it. Thanks

This really was different, My husband hates meatloaf but said to make this again,We also had a duest who eats very little and she had seconds so I guess it was a great hit. The only change I made was to use spagetti sauce instead of ketchup. Thanks for the recipe

Excellent change to meatloaf!!! Love the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Mine was not mushy at all. Followed recipe exactly plus added alittle chopped onion. Drained and sqeezed tomatoes on a paper towel. Baked for one hour and then 5-10 minutes with the foil off to brown top. Tested with meat thermometer at an hour. Drained grease by tipping pan a couple of times towards the end. Family loved it!

This recipe is easy to alter for some different tastes. I doubled the recipe and used 2 lbs of lean ground beef and 1 lb of ground hot italian sausage. Everyone remarked that this recipe would be great for meatballs too, and better as a sandwich, sliced and served on a hoagie roll with mozz cheese.

Wow, was this very yummy! I followed the directions exactly. (I had to change the servings to 4 because I only had one pound of hamburger)This meatloaf was very moist and tasted exactly like an Italian meal! Will make again.

I had high hope from this recipe especially after reading the reviews but I was sadly disappointed. The whole thing was pure mush. The flavor was good but I couldn't even eat it because of the mush texture.
