Really excellent. Once browned I cut the sausage into 2inch long pieces and when it was all finished served the whole thing on buttered & toasted hoagie rolls so we could eat as sandwiches. The cooking juices made the bread delicious.

Really excellent. I was looking for something close to the appetizer my husband and I had at Carmine's in Chicago, IL. This was pretty close. REALLY delicious.

This was a great sausage peppers and onion recipe. I took the casing off the sausage the recipe didn't say to but I think you are supposed to. Next time I will use maybe one more green pepper, I used a yellow pepper because that's what I had on hand. I used chicken broth instead of white wine only because I don't drink wine and didn't want to buy some just for this recipe. I did simmer longer than 15 minutes for the sausage to be all the way done it was more like 30 minutes. Served over pasta hot hot hot also from this recipe.. very good dinner. Thank you

Loved it! I simmered the whole concoction all day long and it was wonderful. The first time I made it I cut the sausages and used it as a side dish which every one seemed to really enjoy. The second time I made it I kept the sausages whole and bought some hard rolls. Sausage sandwiches with the pepper mixture on top, oooohhhh just thinking about it makes me really hungry.

Delicious! Diced up tomatoes from my garden, fresh basil cut in strips, 1 tsp olive oil, splash of white wine, red pepper flakes & black pepper, simmered for 5 minutes. Served with pasta and hot crusty bread! Definitely a keeper! My husband went back for seconds and I shall be enjoying this again for lunch today! Thank you for a great recipe!

We all loved this one. I loosely doubled the recipe and added a 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes. I served it in bowls with a loaf of French bread. Delicious!

This is my favorite sausage and pepper recipe. You can vary the ingredient amounts and it still tastes great.

A great standard dish my boyfriend's family makes all the time! Except instead of butter they use oil. No herbs and no wine. It's very simple...bbq italian sausage, add sliced onion, peppers and crushed tomatoes. Bake for about an hour. It's great by itself or on a hot french roll!

Maybe add sweet basil pasta sauce or have pasta with sauce on the side. Also, possibly put concotion on a sub roll.

I am a terrible cook (much better baker) and suddenly found myself with impromptu company. This recipe turned out great! Instead of sweet sausage I used hot and spicy sausage and red wine. I couldn't be happier - my guests cleared their plates!

Delicious and easy with many possibilities. I cooked it following the recipe but did not slice, we served them with buns. Maybe next time i would add a can of crushed tomatoes like other viewers suggested. Can be served with noodles, rice or just along mashed potatoes. We used hillshire farms sweet and hot sausage. Yummy.

This was a great recipe. I served it with bowtie pasta and garlic bread. I added a can of crushed tomatoes and also I sprinkled a couple of pinches of sugar in right after I added the tomatoes. It really cuts the slight bitterness tomatoes have. It was delish!!!

YUMMY!!! even my picky kids ate this one. I used the basic recipe but added our own variation of spices and seasonings. My family already said they would definitely eat this again!!It's also good if u add a can of diced tomatoes.we served this over penne pasta and there were NO leftovers...

Simple and tasty. The sausage took a bit longer to cook than the recipe implies. Served with brown rice. I'll add a few more peppers/onions next time though.
