Very good, I made one loaf and with the other I made 14 bread sticks. Both went real fast, very tasty!!

This is a good basic recipe, but has room for elaboration. For those of you who keep trying to put all 6 cups of flower into the recipe, don't. Whenever you make bread recipes the final flower addition varies depending on your location and the flower you are using. The best thing to do is add 1.5 cups of flower and then add the flower gradually until the dough gets to the consistency you desire. Also, adding an egg wash to the loaves after they are formed and before they are baked works really good with this recipe.

Delicious! I didn't get all of the flour mixed in, but it didn't seem to matter a bit. I served with a hearty soup. Thanks for sharing!

This bread was incredible! My three boys all high school football players ate both huge loaves right out of the oven. Was easy to make followed recipe exactly which is unusual for me and was simple and great tasting. Especially with that oil and vinegar dip that was suggused by a few others.

The bread was delicious. It's hard to mix all the flour in...I only got in five cups mixing by hand. But it turned out great. Yummy!

This bread was fabulous! I used a different cheese, but it still turned out very well. Instructions are incredibly easy to follow and the results were wonderful! Definitely a keeper!

This was a really good bread - packed with flavor. Unfortunately, I grew impatient with the rises and I think I forced it along a bit. As a result, I came up with a rather flat bread! Ooops! It was still yummy and I will make it again only next time allowing myself more time. Only thing I did different with this was to use a good amount of Italian seasoning in place of the Italian herbs, since I was out. Thanks for the recipe!

This was fantastic! I only made half the recipe and omitted the salt and cheese. It smelled so good baking and tasted even better. Next time I will try substituting some wheat flour.

this is truly a 5-star bread recipe. i've just fished the loaves out of the oven and they look marvelous. and the taste...mmmmmm! delicious! even if i wasn't able to add in the oregano (ran out of it), and had to use italian seasoning instead (was pretty desperate to try the recipe out), ran out of the specified cheese for the recipe and used regular cheddar in its place, the bread still turned out fantastic! this would really pair well with the spicy oil & vinegar bread dip (also from this site). Now, if i could only just stop eating it long enough to make the dip... ;-)

Fabulous! I did substitute 2 cups of whole wheat flour for all purpose, and both times I've made it, I've only ended up using a total of 5.5 cups flour. I used parmesan cheese instead of Romano. Otherwise, made exactly as directed, and it is awesome!
