This was actually better than I expected. It is more flavorful the longer it sits. I usually use a Good Seasons mix. While the flavor of this recipe is not as strong as the store bought mix it is still great and probably healthier without all the preservatives.

I used this dressing for Greek Veggie Salad, after I realised the one thing I had forgotten to buy for my husband's birthday dinner was the dressing. This was very quick to make up and our guests enjoyed it. I will be using this from now on. Thanks.

I've worked in Italian restaurant and this recipe is right up there with some of the best house dressings I've had. Italian dressing is not supposed to be very tart, and this is just perfect! I am going to bottle the spice ingredients for my friends! Thank you!

Excellent Italian dressing however I did make a few changes. Instead of garlic salt I used 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp minced garlic (dry) and kosher salt instead of table salt. When mixing the dressing I used 2 T. balsalmic vinegar, 2 T. red wine vinegar, 1/3 cup olive oil and 1/3 cup water. To that I added 3 T. mix because we like a more zesty Italian dressing. It's wonderful and I will not be buying Good Seasons Mix again!

great mix, but we would recommend using a bit more vinegar for a stronger kick. This dressing is also best used fresh, as the flavour begins to dissipate overnight.

This was really good. We used 1 T plain salt and it was still a little salty, but my husband the picky eater loved it. The only complaint I have about storing it for later use is that the spices and salts don't mix well so it's hard to know that you're getting 2 T of flavor when you mix it up. Other than that...very good!

Very good recipe! If you love salty, leave this recipe alone. If you prefer a little less salt, definitely half the salt or even less. This is a great recipe that you can tweak to your tastes. Works well with a variety of oils and vinegars. Thanks for sharing it!

I've never found a recipe for italian dressing mix that I liked until this one. Now, I'm sold. It is a bit salty, so next time I will probably reduce the salt a bit. Also, I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt -- with garlic salt I think it'd be even worse. I like to use a mixture of balsamic vinegar and apple cider vinegar rather than the white vinegar it calls for.

A great Italian dressing--this is better than most brands you can buy. I cut the salt in half, used red wine vinegar and a mix of vegetable oil and olive oil instead of canola. Do your body a favor: don't use canola.

Excellent! Just like the the expensive bottled stuff, but at a fraction of the cost. Plus, I like knowing that there are no artifical flavorings, colorings or preservatives. We'll be keeping lots of this mix on hand.
