I cut down on the cayenne and red pepper flakes and it was still spicy enough (just right). I served this with a pumpkin risotto (oven baked; found recipe by searching online).

Tasty dish but if children are going to eat this dish reduce the spice by at least half. Super spicy!

I LOVED this meal. I would rate it 5 stars BUT the amount of spice is far too high. I'm a big fan of spicy but I cut the cayenne & red pepper flakes in half and it still had quite the kick. I would definitely recommend this and will be cooking again, just with about 1/2 the spice. I served with a small side of pasta but I found it held up great without it.

Another family favorite. Again, this recipe is easy and delicious. The only thing I did different was instead of using tomato sauce, I used a can of diced and seasoned tomatoes. You can generally find it with the tomato sauce and paste. But, it's definitely not necessary. It's great as is.

I'm not a huge cook and even I find this meal to be easy and full of flavor! Highly recommend if you're looking for something healthy and simple.

We really enjoyed this. It looks complicated at first, but it's really not. I didn't add extra oil after browning the chicken; there's plenty of oil and juices still in the pan, so it's really not a problem. I did serve it over pasta, just bc I thought it would be good with it, and it was. I served with salad and Texas Toast, and it made for a large meal. I love the flavors, and the addition of chickpeas is a bit unexpected but still lovely. Thanks for the recipe!

I loved it! So different, at least in our house. We aren't spicy people, tho, so I diced some fresh red pepper and threw it in, in lieu of cayenne and crushed red pepper flakes. I will make this again!

I liked this one, and it was pretty easy to throw together too. I used 3 chicken breasts, flattened them out (they were huuuge) and cut them in half for a total of 6 thin, smaller sized breats (which was a good portion size for me & also helped them cook through evenly). I used only like 2 shakes of red peppers, after reading other reviews and worrying it might be too spicy for me. It was just right, and I am not super tolerant of spicy stuff. Other than that, made the recipe directly as stated and served it over whole wheat pasta with a side of sauteed zucchini & onions. Thanks for sharing! :)
