These bread bowls were "souper!" I followed the recipe fairly close. I added a TBSP of sugar, and didn't do the egg white and cornmeal. Instead I brushed the tops with butter. It made them super crisp, and strong, which I was worried that the egg whites might not do. Also, I took other's advice and only made 6 instead of 8 bowls. I think anything smaller would have been just a tease :o). In fact, next time, I'll only make 2 or 4. We like big servings! The perfect bread bowl for a hearty helping of potato soup.
