I followed the recipe exactly, also adding a large handful of raisins. It turned out perfectly. Spread with cream cheese, it is even better.

Followed another review and added 1 1/2 c. raisins. I am not a soda bread expert, but I think it was pretty good. Husband loves soda bread abnd thought this was great! My only mistake was cooking for 60 minutes and finding the middle still gooey.

Awesome & so easy! A 5 star for sure! I did add 1 1/2 cups of raisins & baked in a round 8" baking pan (spring form works well too) I made 2 loafs (one with raisins and one without) to take to work. Both were big hits and I was asked for the recipe by 4 co-workers. It does get better with age and is excellent toasted with butter. Karin, thanks for a wonderful recipe!

This was easy and quick and it seems to have turned out perfect. I have never had Irish Soda Bread and didn't really like it but would recommend this recipe if you do like this type of bread.

This was very easy to make and very moist. I also added raisins. I wasn't blown away by it or anything, but it was decent.

I don't know a thing about authenticity when it comes to Irish soda bread, but regardless, my family really enjoys this bread. I do add raisins or chocolate chips to the batter and we love it fresh from the oven, so I don't know why the recipe says to wait a day to eat it. We eat it like a dessert, warm with butter. Yum!

Very moist... I'd never made Irish Soda Bread before, but it was very easy. I added raisins to make it more authentic.

I really loved this Soda Bread! I baked it in a slightly smaller loaf pan and just baked it for about five minutes longer. I also added some raisins. It tasted great right out of the oven, but it tasted even better the next day!

Honestly, I had no idea what soda bread was. I tried this recipe and found it quite good. I followed the recipe but omitted raisins since I was making it for other people... and we know how few raisin lovers there are. ha!

Bread is usually not something I attempt to make as it takes so much time and effort. However, this bread is incredibly easy and fast to whip up--although it was hard to get the bread done in the middle if you use a loafpan (I kept it in the oven about 10 minutes longer and put foil over it to prevent the top from burning and it finally got done!) I made it for a St. Patrick's day dinner and everyone seemed to like it. I personally was not too sure about it--it is a little bland and dry. However, I did not have time to let the bread sit longer than an hour and a half, and also I think that adding raisins to it would have made it more flavorful. I will make this bread again and write another review at a later date.

This bread was moist and very tasty. I don't like raisins so was glad to find a Soda Bread recipe without them. It is even better the next day toasted with butter. My husband raved about it. Will make this again and again.

I made this for St. Patrick's Day. The whole family loved it - toasted with butter or jam. I enjoyed it with peanut butter, but I like that on everything! I added raisins as well. Thank you!

I was disappointed in the texture of this bread. It was more cake-like than I would expect soda bread to be. Amazingly Easy Soda Bread is better.
