I followed the recipe as-is with the only exception being that I sauteed the carrots, onion, and celery before adding the rest of the first addition of ingredients. My whole family LOVED this! I will definitely make this again! Thanks!

the timing is alittle off. i suggest playing it by ear. and once the chicken cutlets were cooked i put them on the side with some of the sauce and didnt put it back in the pot until i added the peas. also i used 1/2 box of frozen peas and 1/2 a box of frozen corn. over all a big hit in our house.

My husband and kids loved this. I didn't care for it myself. Although it isn't beef or pot roast, it had that same kind of dish/taste, which isn't a style that I like.

These were the best Chicken and Dumplings I made so far. The only thing I changed is used chicken broth instead of water. It made more than 6 servings, but neither me nor my husband are complaining. We had leftovers for a few days and it was delicious. Would make again and again and again. Thanks for this wonderful recipe.

The recipe was the BEST dumplings over my mother's. Even though I screwed it up a little with the stages, it still worked out great. I cooked the chicken on medium for an hour until it was done - to save some cook time. I will definitely make again.

Amazing recipe. My family loves it. I only made two small changes from the recipe posted: 1) I cooked in the crockpot so it would be mostly ready when we came home from church 2) added about 1/4 tsp more chicken seasoning. I barely fit all the dough for the dumplings, so next time I will reduce that some. Wonderful, wonderful food!

This dish was excellent! Everyone loved in, even the kids and its not easy pleasing all the kids in my house! I made my dumplings different, with refridgerator buscuits, rolled out, and then cooked in the stew. It was yummy!!

This was so yummy and totally surprised my hubby! I did saute the veggies before and subbed the water for fat free, low sodium chicken broth. It tasted like I went to alot of trouble but didn't! Thanks for the great recipe!

First of all, this recipe is amazing! I bought 2 delicious already baked chicken breasts from my local deli, which I almost always do for recipes like this, pulled off the skin and shredded them by hand. I didn't add shredded chicken to the stew until the last 10 mins of cooking, just before dropping in the dumplings, which I made from scratch. I used a can of chicken broth instead of the suggested 3 cups of water, I also ended up adding a cup of water to thin it out a little. I used only one onion, which a chopped instead of quartering, and I used only two russet potatoes and I'm glad I only used two because it was plenty. I loved that this recipe included so many great veggies! Easy recipe; not too time consuming, for me anyway.. just some chopping and shredding chicken while veggies are cooking away. Thanks this recipe.. I'll be using it often:)

VERY TIME CONSUMING, HOWEVER I FOUND THAT INSTEAD OF MAKING YOUR OWN DUMPLINGS I JUST DROP IN BISCUITS THAT YOU CAN BUY FROM THE STORE. ALSO YOU CAN HEAT EVERYTHING ON HIGH AND CUT YOU COOKING TIME IN HALF! MY FAMILY LOVES THIS DISH

I love this recipe and have made it several times. The last time I made it I cut the vegetables in uniform size because I wanted to make chicken pot pie out of the leftovers (minus dumplings, of course). I reheated chicken mixture in the microwave until just warm and used packaged pie dough for the bottom and top crust. I baked the pie in the oven until golden brown. Voila!!!Fabulous!!! My family loved both meals...cooked once and served twice. They didn't even realize it was leftovers.

This is an awesome recipe. My 12 year old daughter made it tonight, and it is fantastic. We made our own baking mix, which we think adds alot of flavor. We also had fresh celery out of the garden. This will become a family favorite for sure.

This was the best chicken and dumplings ever! Just don't let your 'glass' pot get burnt on the bottom cuz it'll ruin the whole batch!

OMG. Hands down the BEST chicken and dumplings I've ever had! I've made this several times, and it turns out perfectly. I'm a bit of a health nut, so the only modification I make is I use reduced fat/fat free soup. Other than that, I follow the recipe exactly. You won't be disappointed!
