I used a store bought crust - so I am reviewing the filling. This is about one of the only recipes that does not use a cream of something soup. Thank you! I also altered it to make it vegan - so it was basically a veggie pot pie when I was done. I omitted the butter, used vegetable broth and soy milk and no cheese or chicken. It was really creamy and good. Made it again using frozen veggies and it was a super quick and easy meal when served with a salad. Thank you for a great recipe.

I was in the mood for chicken pot pie and decided to look for a recipe. I make everything from scratch because its cheaper and with a good recipe is much better. all the pot pie recipes I looked at all required a store bought crust and I was about to give up, until i found this recipe. the crust was just what i was looking for and satisfied my craving. i used what i had like: a bag of frozen mixed vegetables, can of cream of chicken, cheese and seasoned it with salt pepper and thyme. It was deliciouse! thank you for the crust!
