I loved this recipe. I am in advanced Culinary a my high school, and had to make something creative with potatoes. I used sweet potatoes and OMG, I loved it. My class did too. I had people in my class wanting more and more. And I used the cream cheese frosting II with it, with a few alterations. You can check my review for the alterations. Great recipe. I think I will make this cake again. And I like how the cake isnt too rich in chocolate. Thanks!

YUMMY! This cake was wonderfully moist, with a subtle cocoa flavor. I appreciated that it wasn't "in-your-face" chocolatey. I frosted it with a buttercream frosting from this site, and also sprinkled it with some Heath toffee bits that I needed to use up. This just may become my default chocolate cake recipe!

Moist and delicious. A great afternoon snacking-style cake. If I was serving this to guests, I would add four ounces of melted and cooled unsweetened chocolate at the same time as the potatoes, frost with a nice, fluffy chocolate frosting, and serve with a scoop of high-quality vanilla ice cream. Thanks for the recipe!

Heh, my boyfriend absolutely loves potatoes, but he was a little scared to hear they were going into cake. But this was very good. Quite dense and moist. I paired it up with k. blackburn's Chocolate Butter-Cream Frosting, and replaced the nuts with chocolate chips. I'll definitely make this next time I want chocolate cake.

WOW!!! OK so I love potatoes and ? love cake but would never in a million years think to put them together! So when I found this recipe I was skeptical for a second then remembered a neighbour lady who made a chocolate cake with mayonaise and then I remembered one with tomato soup too so I thought what could potatoes hurt? Well I made this cake today for my husband's birthday and we both loved it! Very moist and yummy. I will keep this recipe and maybe someday I'll be remembered as the neighbour lady who made a chocolate cake with potatoes in it! Love to try some potato ice cream some time too! Thanks for sharing.

This is an easy cake to make. It is so moist. And if you ever get a chance to try the potato Ice Cream and Chocolate milk (that also has potato in it) Made by Reeds Dairy In Idaho Falls, Idaho You will not be dissapointed. It is so creamy and smooth. Lorna Rigby Idaho

This cake is absolutely lovely! We enjoyed it very much and it was a great use for leftover mashed potatoes. I omitted the nuts and added "Chocolate Frosting I" from this site. This is definitely a keeper.
