These cookies were a huge hit at my party. I liked the cookies better with out icing but everyone else liked them with the icing. Just the right amount of softness but still firm enough to pick up. I will make these again for sure!

The best pumpkin cookies! Soft, spicy, flavorful.. perfect! I made them without icing, they're sweet enough.

I am an early childhood teacher. We made these in class today. The children loved them. We made them into a bar instead of cookies- just used a jelly roll pan. We also frosted them with a little cream cheese frosting. The children wanted seconds! Now all the staff want the recipe too. Great recipe.

Excellent cookies! My 2 best critics (my kids) rated them for me and I agree. I used cream cheese frosting, as it is my fav. I'll try the icing next time. I did use the 1/2 cup brown sugar as recommended because it made sense for flavors' sake.

Loved these! The pumpkin flavor is not overwhelming. Made for an autumn play-date and the kids loved them as much as the adults. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

These cookies are fabulous!! I frosted them with cream cheese frosting and they are a little piece of pumpkin heaven! The only thing I would change is to triple the recipe!

I just made these cookies over the weekend and I needed to bring them to work, it was very hard to get them out of the house and not leave any behind. I think I made them a little bit smaller than what the recipe called for but I made 48 cookies total. I used Pumpkin pie spice as the only spice and it came out wonderful. I can't wait o make them again, what a great treat in the fall.

These were very good and easy to make. My husband and 15-month-old daughter loved them. I added Walnuts which really made the cookies excellent! Instead of the glaze recommended, I made a caramel glaze, which was very good with the spicy cookies. Next time, I think I will try the suggestion of substituting brown sugar for some of the white sugar and also may add some ginger to make it more like the spices I use for pumpkin pie. May try cream cheese Icing, too. This recipe is a keeper!!

STOP! You don't need to look any further, these are by far the BEST pumpkin cookies EVER! Thanks Gina for sharing. I used one of the pie pumpkin I grew, boiled and pureed, great fresh flavor. As other reviewer suggested, I used 3/4 c. each brown and white sugar, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon, also added a heaping TBLS. cream cheese to the icing. I will be making this again and again.

These were very good if you like a cakey cookie. They taste almost identical to pumpkin bars, just in cookie shape and minus the cream cheese frosting. Personally I was hoping for a normal cookie consistancy with a pumpkin bar flavor.

I love pumpkin so I was excited to try this recipe. The cookies turned out great, very soft and just the right amount of spice. The frosting is very easy to make but the cookies are great with or without it!

FANTASTIC! I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of using pumpkin pie spice in place of the nutmeg & cloves. The icing was perfect for the flavor of the cookie. This recipe is a keeper!
