WOW - this deserves ten stars. Here in Israel, all the cafes sell this amazing iced coffee that has a Slurpee consistency. For years I've been trying to replicate it at home, but with no success. With this recipe, I can do it. Make the coffee according to the directions, but cut the sugar to 1 c. Freeze. Half an hour before you need it, take it out of the freezer. Once it's softened just a tad, use a spoon or knife to break half of the mixture into chunks. Put them into a blender. Add 1 cup of milk and 2 heaping tablespoons chocolate milk powder (or sugar if you're a coffee purist). For an adult only crowd, you can use a good swig of chocolate and/or coffee liquor. Blend until no chunks remain. You will get the smoothest, frostiest, most incredible iced coffee that you can eat with a spoon. My entire family went nuts over this one!!! Thanks Iola - I'll be making this all summer.

Absolutely delicious!! I didn't freeze the mixture but simply placed in the blender with ice cubes. I then topped with whip cream and drizzled caramel. YUMMY

I made this for my 13yr. old daughter's birthday party. Everyone loved it! I made it with only 3/4 c. sugar and French Vanilla creamer instead of the half and half and added no vanilla extract. Tasted great with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon.

It didn't blow my mind, but this was quite good. I used Silk soy milk and creamer.

We just wanted iced coffee, not the slushy kind, so I made this and poured it over ice instead of freezing it. I used whole milk, omitted the half and half and only used half of the sugar, but it was still way too sweet for us (I like my iced coffee sweet, and I still thought it was too sweet - my husband doesn't like his sweet, but he said this would have been great if it had less sugar in it). I'm giving it 4 stars for the benefit of the doubt, given that we didn't try the recipe as intended and altered the ingredients a bit. I would also make the coffee even stronger next time. Thanks for a starting pont! :)

I cut the sugar to 3/4 cup and it was still sweet if some sort of sweet sauce is added. But very good and creamy!

I only drank one cup of a full pot this morning... it got hot outside & I needed a cool down. I noticed the pot & poured the 2 cups into the blender, added about 4 cups of ice, a 1/4 cup (to taste) of my favorite vanilla caramel creamer, 4 pks of sweet & low and a shot of vanilla extract. Yum! I also stirred in about a cup of cool whip just because I had it on had. Love it!! Very addicting...

Delicious!! Taste like a Cappuccino Blast from Baskin Robins. I used less sugar and instead of putting it in the freezer I put it in my ice cream maker for 10 min. Then topped it off with a dollop of whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon like the way they do at BR.

This was a great recipe. I really enjoyed it. Only thing I did different was I didn't let it freeze solid and used it as iced coffee. I can't get enough thanks.

I made this last night and thought that it tasted like a iced cap from Tim Hortons. I can now save myslf $2.50 every few days. I followed the recipe exactly. You must try if you are a iced cap fan.

Awesome idea... i didn't exactly use the recipe tho...i'm sure it's awesome tho lol. I just made a cup of coffee to my taste.... but perhaps twice as strong....froze it...smashed it with a fork added some milk stirred it and it was awesome :-) .....also if you want to be lazy.... you can buy ice coffee syrup like chocolate mild syrup.... freeze some milk smash it with a fork add the syrup a little more milk and stir. Awesome, thanx so much for the idea :-) Enjoy Everyone!

This was really delicious. I was looking for a recipe that called for regular coffee, not instant, because that's what I had on hand. I just mixed everything together (my coffee was already chilled, though) and served over ice-cubes. It tasted terrific! Adding the sugar to cold coffee didn't seem to affect the taste at all. You could probably just mix it all together and blend it with ice cubes in a powerful blender if you're in a hurry. Yum!

This recipe is so good! I did a few things differently though. I prefer plain iced coffee. Instead of freezing it all i did was combine everything together and let chill over ice with whip to top! almost as good as starbucks!

My family was wanting coffee, but we were having one of those rare warm days, and a warm drink didn't sound good. So, I went in search of an iced coffee recipe. Most I found called for instant coffee. I wanted the real deal! I found this recipe and made it a bit stronger, and it tastes just like Starbucks! I made a 12 cup pot of strong coffee and added every bit of it to the recipe. It was perfect! I added ice and mixed in a blender...the kids loved it! I froze what we didn't use and served for breakfast the next morning. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for sharing!**Made this again as before, only this time I topped with coolwhip and chocolate syrup....oh so good!
