This is a great, easy recipe. I've made it twice for large groups and I double it. I press the mixture into the 9x13 pan as recommended, then freeze for 15 minutes. Then I spread the softened ice cream and re-freeze. Then I press a second rice krispie mixture onto the top, cover and freeze. When I'm ready to serve, I set it out for 15 minutes and cut it into pieces.

The recipe says these can be frozen for up to 2 months but mine only lasted 2 days! I was able to get 12 rectangles as stated but once I made them into 6 ice cream sandwiches, I felt they were the right size without cutting them in half so for me the recipe only made 6. The kids really loved them. After assembling them, I wrapped them in wax paper and then placed them all in a gallon ziploc bag and placed them in the freezer.
