This is a delicious meal! I make a few changes. I don't do the tomatoes, I put in tomatoe sauce instead. I also add in a layer of chopped, well-drained, spinach. Adds a great taste and veggie serving. I scale it to make 8 servings.

This recipe is Wonderful and Easy. The only changes I did was add the onions to the meat mixture to cook them, otherwise the onion flavor is too "raw" tasting for us. Don't be afraid to add plenty of sauce! Great recipe my husband, 3 and 6 year old LOVE!.

This recipe is far too dry. I made it pretty much by the recipe with the exception of taco seasoning mix and cheddar cheese on top. It was fair as far as taste but not tasty enough make again.

Really good, and unique. Did not tweak it much, seasoned the meat with some random spices and then cooked the onions in the meat because my family are not big fans of crunchy onions. Came out nice. I will be making it again.

This was a hit with my entire family! Not an easy task with 5 kids. My DH asked what it was called, and heartily agreed. I did make a few changes, though, both in recipe size and ingredients. I used 2 lbs of ground beef & 2 boxes of whole grain rotini (about 27 oz). I always season my ground beef while browning, usually with salt, pepper, onion, and garlic, to taste. After draining the fat, I added 1/2 chopped green bell pepper, 1 can diced tomatoes, and 1 8oz can tomato sauce. I also added 1/2 bag frozen, chopped spinach, which I do to a lot of dishes. I used a 16oz container of light sour cream and 4oz of low-fat cream cheese. I also chopped up a few green onions, since I had them on hand, and threw them in. I mixed everything together, including pasta, then put it in 2 pans and topped with 2 cups of fiesta blend cheese. I have made it in layers before and mixing it all together seems to work better for us.

I tweaked this a bit, using 1# of lean ground beef, added finely chopped onion, bell pepper, added stewed tomatoes, and a can of diced tomatoes, adding salt, pepper, chili powder (will use taco seasoning next time). I par boiled the bag of egg noodles and drained mixed the sour cream (16 oz) and about 5 oz of cream cheese. I stirred everything together and dumped into a sprayed casserol dish, topped with 2c mexican shredded cheese and baked 30 min. It was a great hit with the family, DH continued picking at it before I could get it put away, and he scarffed the rest down 2 days later (unusual for him). The sour/cream cheeses mixture gives it a tany in the first bite but it definately grows on you and is a great dish! Next time I will add taco seasoning, and more chili powder. May try making it with left over rotersire chicken. Great dish thanks for sharing. I will be adding this to my normal rotation.

Awesome base idea!!! Browned the beef with garlic, onions and Penzey's Pasta Sprinkle. Didn't have tomatoes, so I used FF Cream Of Mushroom (Added in some chix broth and a splash of milk). Per AmandaT's idea, tossed in dry onion soup with the Neufchatel and Lite Sour Cream. Barilla Rotini Plus noodles. Very easy, very versatile.

I hate to rate this recipe a 1 star..but this was really awful. The cream cheese and sour cream made it so rich that it was hard to eat. I used reduced fat cream cheese and sour cream to cut down this very fattening dish. My boyfriend said it was the worst thing I have ever made him. I followed the directions exactly as printed.

This was pretty good. Very filling! I did like the addition of cream cheese; it added a nice zip to the casserole. I added a clove of garlic while browning the ground beef and plenty of ground black pepper. I also used rotini, since I didn't have enough egg noodles. Thanks :)

Very Good! I did make a lot of changes because i didn't have everything. I used the leftover taco meat from the night before and added spaghetti(?) sauce, about 1/2 cup sour cream, onion and lots of cheese. After reading the reviews i could not decide about the onions so I cooked half and left the other half raw. I mixed everything together adding milk until i got the mixture looking the way i wanted it to. I wrapped it in foil. the last 10 min. i took the foil off and added more cheese on top. WOW! Very Good!

I only gave this recipe a 4 because of the changes. I have been making a similar recipe for years. I mix the sour cream and cream cheese with chopped green onions. Then I cook small elbow macaroni (seems to mix in better) and stir it into the cream cheese mixture and put in the bottom of a greased casserole. I then brown the ground beef and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Drain and add tomato sauce and sugar. Pour that mixture over the noodles and top with cheddar cheese and cook in oven until heated and cheese is slightly brown. (YUMMY)
