Grandma's Hash Browns

My Grandma made these simple hash browns nearly every morning when I spent time with her. They take a little planning, but they're better than any others! Serve with your favorite style eggs and breakfast meat!

A yummy breakfast in one dish. Hash browns are combined with eggs, bacon and cheese in a grilled sandwich. You can always substitute sausage or ham for the bacon.

My family named this dish because I served it when we vacationed at our cabin on the Mississippi River. Now it's become such a favorite that I often make it when we're home.

This is my husband's favorite meal. I always had a different version of Corned beef hash until I met my Scottish husband who taught me how it was meant to be made. It is a wonderful casserole type dish that is very filling and perfect for cold nights in. Serve with vegetables or crusty French bread.

If you like sweet potatoes, you'll love them as hash browns, spiced with chipotle chile powder and garlic, with a little added sweetness from brown sugar.

These are your basic fried potatoes - with a few extras! Total time depends on your own speed to peel and slice potatoes and such, and how crispy you like them. My mom always calls them 'Garbage Potatoes' because you just throw in a bunch of junk. If you don't like peppers, don't use them - throw in something else that you like.

This recipe fuses an American breakfast favorite-hash browns-with some South Asian flavors with cilantro and curry powder to make a surprisingly tangy side dish to spice up your morning.
