DELICIOUS!!!! Used Half and Half because that is all I had. Was out of Sour Cream so I threw some French onion dip in there... :D Lucky for me.. it tasted awesome! (Oh and I used a three mushroom blend from Meijer)

Amazing! I have been looking all over for a great Hungarian Mushroom Soup recipe. I love it just the way it is. And I can't believe how easy it is, especially using the food processor to chop onions and slice muchrooms. Thank you for sharing!

I made this soup for my wife on our first date. After we were married, she told me that she went home that night and told her roommate that she was going to marry me! :D This soup has magical powers, and is one of the most delicious soups I have ever had. If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

I just shared this with my homeschooling Mom's "Soup Exchange" where it got rave reviews. My only change was to mix up the mushrooms by adding some baby bellas as well as chopping some and keeping some sliced. Even my husband and children - who don't like mushrooms as I do - loved the broth.

There's a little homemade soup and bread shop in my hometown that was sort of famous for what they called 'Hungarian Mushroom Soup'. I always ordered it whenever I went, and figured I'd never find a recipe to rival it, but this is it! I never would have guessed it, based on the ingredients. THANK YOU for this recipe! Pretty budget friendly too. This is going to be a staple at our house.

Well, I don't know what to say. I enjoyed this soup, but my husband really disliked it. He couldn't tell me exactly what it was that he didn't like, but I think it may have been that I used sweet paprika instead of the hot Hungarian. He said it tasted almost "dusty", which I've noticed sometimes happens when you use too much sweet paprika. And while I really enjoyed this soup, I probably won't be making it again.

This soup is absolutely delicious - just like my Polish grandmother used to make! I followed the recipe exactly and will not modify anything the next time I make it. And believe me, I will be making this easy, sensational soup again and again. It's comfort in a bowl!

This soup is incredible, it was just as good (and much better, in many cases) as soup you might get in a fine restaurant. I did not have soy sauce or paprika on hand the last time I made it, so I substituted teriyaki sauce and a mix of ground cayenne pepper, cumin, and a caribbean jerk seasoning, and gave this soup a real kick. I give this recipe a solid 5 stars and would highly recommend it, one of my favorites!

This was a wonderful soup. I doubled the recipe as I had a little over two pounds of mushrooms. I used fresh dill and parsley from the garden. At the very end, I used the emersion blender just a little. Next time, i might add a little bit of thyme. I think that would go well with this soup. I didn't use it this time so that I could rate the recipe as is. Superb taste and quick soup to make.

Oh my was this good or what? We LOVED this! I also cut back on the dill, but I don't think I would have minded adding more. I think it would have been good either way!

OMG! This is the most amazing and hearty soup I've ever made. I followed almost exactly but increased a few quantities (I wanted more!). I used 5 different kinds of muchrooms for a more 'wild' flavor. I didn't have chicken broth, used beef broth. I didn't have dill, just left it out. I let it simmer a little longer at the end. You have to try this - so GOOD!!

Very tasty indeed... but more like a delicious, rich gravy packed with mushrooms. Truth is, I'd rather ladle this on top of boiled new potatoes or noodles than eat it like soup.
