Perfect! Added an extra garlic clove (but I like a LOT of garlic). My new "go to" dish when I need to bring something along!

This recipe is a great, healthy snack! I add a little bit of water to make the consistency more creamy.

I also had to thin mine. You could almost not drain the beans and it would be fine. I like the recipe for a good base, but added horseradish and wasabi for a spicy flair.

ADD WATER! Or bean liquid. Or something like that. I put in ingredients as directed and just kept going in my food processor and it was chunks. So I added more oil and it was still all chunks. Then I added water and presto! It became a paste. Very yummy, very authentic, after you have it blended you can tweak as you like (I like it kind of lemony).

This recipe is fantastic. I've easily made this hummus 25-30 times with constant variation. It's more authentic than the corporate at the grocery and way healthier (if you so choose *wink*). I enjoy boosting the garlic and adding some crushed red pepper or habenero for a little heat. Add more oil when blending for more smoothness, but I really enjoy the thickness and texture of some whole Garbanzos in there.

I love hummus and can eat a little tub from the grocery store in one day if no one is watching me, but most of this went to waste. I made it just as written and it was bland, I fiddled with it and fiddled with it and never found anything to make it better. I doubled the amount of lemon juice and it was still toothpaste thick and bland. The only part of it we did eat was with some roasted garlic bread I got from the grocery but once that was gone the rest sat in the fridge. Very disapointing and I will keep looking, hopefully my next attempt will not turn out so bad, otherwise I will keep buying it from the store.

This recipe is amazing! I added more garlic just because I used minced from a jar. I also added fresh chives from my garden!

Wonderful recipe! I found that it was easier to mix this in a food processor for me. The flavors mix together amazingly- I've used it now for pitas with vegatables in it and just for dipping-- so far it's a winner everytime!!:)

The taste was a little bland for me I added MORE garlic, 1 tsp of cumin, and a couple pinches of red pepper flakes to add some zing. The original recipe didn't have the right texture(too dry) so I added another tablespoon of olive oil with couple tablespoons of water to smooth it out. It came out great!

FINALLY! This is the hummus I have been searching for. Only change I made (and I always do this to hummus) is to add about 1/3 cup of water. It makes it mice and fluffy. Try it!!

I made this recipe pretty much as it was.I did add 1 tsp of cumin like some had suggested and 4 cloves of garlic instead of 2(I like a lot of garlic). It was awesome! It is some of the best hummus I have had in a long time. This is definitely going to be something that we make frequently.

This recipe is fantastic. I read a few reviews and decided to use about 1/5 cup of tahini (I'm not a huge fan) and a little extra paprika. However, I made the mistake of adding 3 fresh cloves of garlic and, although I LOOOOOOOOVE garlic, it was a little too much. I'm making falafel for dinner and I think, despite my overabundance of garlic, it should be a nice pairing. :)

First off this can not be done in a blender. Not the right consistancy. Recipe calls for way too much salt and tahini. I am glad I read reviews first. I made several times and have added roasted red peppers and sun dried tomatoes. Both very good. Good base recipe with modifications.

This recipe worked great with less than 1/2 tsp of salt. I suggest starting with that and adding more to taste. I also found I had to add some water to get the right consistency.

My first try at hummus and it was delicious. I took it to my son and daughter-in-law's baby shower and everyone loved and wanted left-over. I added an extra clove of garlic and a 2-3 quick pours of olive oil while still in the food processor.

Few changes: 1. Followed advice of fellow reviewer on order of processing: First beans & seasonings, next lemon juice & bean water, finally tahini & oil. I added a bit more water at the end to make it perfectly smooth, and also added another garlic clove, but I love garlic! Also added 1/2 tsp cumin & bit of cayenne. This is a great starter recipe, I'm going to add cilantro & jalapeno to another batch, and pesto to another, sun dried tomatoes to another...the possibilities are endless!!

Kind of bland...not sure what it was missing... I had to add more garlic and it still didn't have much flavor to it other than the tahini..... mmmm I think I will pass on using this recipe next time. thanks

I made this as is for a large gathering of kids/adults for a Greek Theme night. I kind of thought people would be a little shy of it but they tried it, loved it and came back for seconds and thirds. It's a winner recipe and good for you.

The recipe as listed is good. However, I think the tahini is a little too prominent. Next time I'll reduce the tahini by half and double the garlic since I really prefer a heavier garlic flavor.
