Very, very good and also very versatile! I think next time I might add some smoked paprika and sun dried tomatoes! This was just wonderful on warm pita!

This was a really good recipe but it turned out to be too much for my blender. I think I fried the motor. :) I too used red chili powder and cumin. Delicious!

This recipe was tasty, but I will definitely add some red pepper or cumin next time for some more flavour. Can't find Tahini anywhere? My family's secret is to add peanut butter instead. Use the peanut butter that is just crushed peanuts, not the kind with sugar and additives added. Don't use quite as much as you would if you were using real tahini though.

This is definately the classic hummus recipe. I used the comments and added cumin and cayenne pepper. Turned out very delicious!

I love Hummus, and this one is great. Reserve the liquid from the garbonzo beans to use to get the Hummus to the desired consistancy. Taste to make sure it is salty enough. Don't skimp on the cayenne.

I liked it because it was strong in taste, but the rest of the family didn't like it - for the exact same reason. That makes three against one, so I guess I'm weird. But this hummus was way too thick (I added some of the juice from the chickpeas, to make it more liquid)... and also there's just too much lemon juice in it, I would settle for half or two thirds of what the recipe calls for in lemon juice. Apart from that, well it tasted like hummus. And in my opinion it was a good, STRONG hummus, so if that's what you're looking for, well you might just like this recipe.

Better than the Summer Fresh store bought. I enjoy the thicker texture. I added a 1/4 cup water to mine and used 2tbsp of tahini. It was almost too much tahini, so I am glad I put just that in.

Oh how I was craving hummus and it is hard to find here in Germany but not any more! I thought this recipes was delicious! I have to give it 4 stars because for my taste the Tahini had to be cut back a bit but that is why it is great to read other reviewers comments before trying it out yourself. I really love allrecipes and glad that I have away from home!

Great recipe! The tahini makes the dip, gotta have it! I also added red pepper flakes. This is my hummus recipe for now on!

Wow! This was good, indeed. I followed the recipe 100% except I added a bit less than 1/3 cup red bell pepper. Delicious! Served with pita slices-a great lunch box snack for my little one!

Wow! Once I found tahini, this was easy and just as good or better than what I've bought at grocery stores or restaurants. Just be sure to keep in food processor long enough to be really smooth. I'll probably never buy hummus again!

This came out very well, but I gave it four stars for the same reason that most people put. I reserved the bean "juice" and had to add about a cup of it to get it creamier. It has thickened up quite a bit since being refrigerated. Other than that it's great!

I make this recipe fairly often. I always make it with a bit less tahini than is called for... I don't think it needs that much, and it makes it a little less fat that way. I also definitely add a fair amount of the bean liquid to make it a more creamy texture.

Just a warning.. roasted garlic does give a sweet taste so it is not ideal for hummus as you'll be using loads of salt to compensate. Just use plane garlic or 2 tbsps of crushed garlic

This recipe was good, but I had to tweak it alot. I added more salt and lemon juice and more olive oil. Make sure to taste and adjust the ingredients before serving.

Was looking for a quick hummus recipe and I ended up using this one with great results. As suggested by other reviewers, I saved the liquid from the garbanzo beans to make a smoother hummus. I also didn't have tahini readily available, so I made one with a blender using a cup of roasted sesame seeds and adding olive oil (maybe about 2-3 Tbps.) until I ended up with a pourable liquid. After reserving a portion of tahini, I just used the same blender in order to make my hummus - and I was able to omit the olive oil in the recipe that way.

This is so good! I can never find Tahini at the grocery store, so I just threw 1/4 cup of roasted sesame seeds and 1 Tbsp of Oil in. It really came out great. I would recommend blending everything with half of the chick peas before adding the rest. It will help make it smoother so there are no garlic chunks.

Good recipe, though I found I needed to add a little liquid to thin it out some. Was really good after sitting in the fridge overnight. Will use this recipe again!
