I made this for supper today and it was YUMMY!! The only thing I changed was using frozen mixed veggies instead of the fresh. Thanks for the great recipe!

Delicious and easy. I was feeding a non-shrimp eater, so increased the chicken and ommitted shrimp; still had a fresh-tasting, nutritious one-dish meal. Great with a crisp green salad and bread.

My boyfriend really liked this, and I think this recipe would be great, but I added a can of bean sprouts (since I couldn't find fresh ones). DO NOT DO THIS! It made the whole thing taste like generic canned chow mein! YUCK! I will try this recipe again, but next time I will follow it exactly!

One thing I've always hated about fried rice is that the egg seems overwhelming in it. This recipe did not have that problem at all. Perfect proportions, and I love the versatility of ingredients that can be added. We'll definitely be making this one again!

This recipe is great. However, I didn't add any of the meat. I love letting the rice "fry" a little to get some crispiness. Very good. Thank you.

Very tasty! The texture turned out somewhat mushy for me as per previous ratings so next time I'll try with cold rice as suggested.

I have eaten fried rice all over the world, and this by far the best I have ever had. It's definitely labor intensive, but absolutely worth it.

Delicious! I tried a vegetarian version of this quick, tasty recipe. We didn't have any garlic cloves in the house so I used a bit of garlic powder. It turned out very tasty!

this was a good base for making fried rice. i thought it was a little lacking and next time i believe some oyster or fish sauce may make all the differance. i too didnt think 1 egg was enough, and i added mine at the end. the fact that oil wasnt left at the bottom, of my bowl as opposed to store bought fried rice was a big winner for me.

I really like this recipe it always goes over very well. I usually prepare the rice ahead of time in my rice cooker. And I usually prepare the recipe without the meat, but this one is definitely a keeper.

My family and I thought that the fried rice was pretty good and will be making it again. I think the recipe is a good foundation for adding things depending on the preference of the cook (cilantro, bean sprouts, green onions, various oils, etc...).
