I seasoned these with Penzey's sandwich sprinkle...they tasted wonderful! I think the temperature needs to be 400 so the sandwich get crispy and warm all the way through...mine at 350 weren't hot in the middle.

Very filling and satisfying with a cup of soup. I followed the suggestion at the bottom of the recipe and used spicy brown mustard mixed with horseradish. Also added a bit of mayo.

Pretty good. Had to use regular mustard and no poppy seeds though. Great for a quick dinner to use up some leftover buns.

We were rather disappointed with these. I was expecting better w/all the rave reviews but we didn't care for them much. They weren't BAD, just not what I was expecting I guess. I followed the directions exactly except I omitted the poppy seeds only because I didn't have any. We used leftover roast ham from yesterday that was glazed w/dijon mustard and brown sugar...maybe that made it taste different?? I can't imagine that it's that unusual a glaze...

Very good. Didn't have ham so just used turkey slices. Was going to say that there is not enough flavor, but it was so hot when I ate it I think it just dind't come through very much. Near the end of the sandwich, could taste the mustard mix. Going to freeze several so I can have for lunches. Thanks for the recipe!

I didn't get to have any of these because my family ate them all. I had made eight sandwiches but my husband ate four of them himself. I guess they must have been really good. Family requests that I make these again. Maybe next time I'll have to triple the recipe.

We make these with regular yellow mustard. Known in our family as "Jenny Ham" sandwiches, since my grandma got the recipe from her friend Jenny. SO yummy! I always make extra to reheat in the oven the next day.

I grew up with these...known in the family as "Delicious Little Sandwiches." We actually use the grinder attachment on the food processor and run the ham, cheese, and onion through it. Just mix in the butter, mustard and poppy seed, put on a bun, wrap in foil, and put in the oven. FABULOUS!! They freeze great, but they usually don't last long enough to make it to the freezer! Also warm up well in the microwave.

I made it for a small informal gathering...turned out the company didn't care for mustard - my family was overjoyed because it meant more for them. I followed the editors note and worked out perfectly. I went kinda skimpy on the mixture when applying it the bun because I wasnt sure how strong it was, in the future, I will apply more. Home run!

My mother made these sandwiches for every baby/wedding shower she ever hosted and they are always a hit. She did leave the onions out of the spread and use onion buns instead. This recipe wasnt in her boxes, I am so glad I found it here.

These were very easy to make. I used Kaiser rolls instead of hamburger buns. Made the sauce as directed and it was delicious. I wish I would have added more than 2 slices of ham to each one though. Next time, I'll add more as well as another slice of cheese. Baked for 22 minutes and the cheese was hot and melted.

I used regular mustard instead of horseradish mustard. We had these tonight with tomato soup, quick and so ooey gooey with melted cheese. I pulled them out of the oven after about 20 minutes. Thanks for the recipe!
