This was pretty good as bean dips go. I left out the hot sauce and parsley, replacing it with some thick salsa. Also added a pound of ground beef. After browning the beef, I threw everything in the crockpot (as someone else suggested) and let it heat up. It turned out pretty good. Be careful if you use the crock, however. After it warms, the dip tends to curdle a little with all of the dairy products in it. Watch it closely.

Next time I make this recipe I will substitute the parsley for cilantro. I think that would improve the flavor. I reheated some of this leftover "dip" this morning and used it as a filling for a burrito. No one knew that it was last nights "dip". lol

My hubby, a Texan who knows his bean dip, loved this recipe...as did everyone else in the family! Play with the hot sauce, or serve it on the side to accomodate all tastes!

This dip was just like Juile said..... soooooo good. I made it for a party and it was a huge hit. Everyone kept saying how good it was and they all wanted the recipe! I might add a couple more drops of hot sauce next time.....I'm from Louisiana, so we like spicy things! I also only use one bag of cheese. I just buy the colby jack mix and that is what I use. I made this for our Mardi Gras crew and it disappeared! I am asked to bring this dish to every get-together! I sometimes make it a couple hours ahead of time then refrigerate it if I don't have time to make it before I need it. I then bake it for a little longer in the oven and serve.

I made this for the first time and brought it to the office today - everyone LOVED it - I've already given the recipe to several folks!! I used an entire pkg of taco mix and also added: 1 1/4# browned ground beef w/onions, 1 can green chilies, and a splash of salsa. It makes a bunch, but everyone keeps going back for more!

This was an awesome dip!!! Everyone loved it. I didnt add the green onions or hot sauce as kids would be eating it. It still turned out great, I even had guests ask for the recipe. I used reduced fat cream cheese, sour cream, and no fat beans. I also added another 8 oz of shredded cheese. Will definately be making agian.

This is super easy to make and tastes awesome. At first I questioned the servings, I thought it would be too much, but as it turned out everyone loved it and it was the first thing gone. Like others have mentioned I also added more hot sauce and I replaced the refried beans for some spicy refried beans. I look forward to making this again and again. Thanks for sharing!!
