Awesome dressing! I sauted a little finely chopped apple with the onions. My husband said it was as good or better than anything we have gotten at a restaurant.

If you like the Warm Bacon Vinagarette at Applebee's, you will be happy to have found this recipe!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I made it exactly as the recipe said, except for the pimentos because I didn't have any. I made it early and planned on warming it when it was time to serve. I found that it coagulated too much, and I had to add water. But it was still fine. I would recommend making it fresh each time. It's just a better presentation. This recipe gets 10 stars in my home.

Excellent recipe but a little too sweet for my taste. I will cut the sugar to 1 cup next time. Serve over spinach with chopped hard boiled eggs for garnish. Yum!

Absolutely delicious! My kids (even my picky eater) all loved it. I want to put it on salad, pasta, sandwiches, etc. I didn't put in the pimentos, used regular mustard instead of dijon, used rice vinegar, and used xantham gum instead of cornstarch. I added an extra cup of water because I didn't want so much zing. It made alot of dressing.

This dressing was a hit with a big gang of very diverse tastes. I did a bunch of the prep work a day ahead, and it didn't take long at all to pull it together.

Very tasty. I served over spinach with hard boiled eggs, croutons and chicken. I cooked the chicken in cajin seasoning which complimented the sweetness of the dressing. Great recipe. Go Connie!!!!!

I also didn't use pimento, I gave this one four stars because my hubbie loved it but I thought it wds way toooo sweet for me. I grilled chicken and tossed this dressing with some goat cheese and pecans and that cut the sweet a little. Very flavorful. For me alone, I would give it a 3 star.

This was wonderful. I did not use pimento, but added hard boiled egg and tomatoes to the spinach. I also used a little less sugar. Great for a summer's night dinner.

This was so good! I didn't have a few ingredients and had to substitute. I used red pepper for the pimento by adding it with the onion to saute. And I also didn't have cider vinegar and substituted red wine vinegar with a splash of white vinegar and balsamic vinegar in it. It turned out really well even with these changes. Thanks for a great recipe!

I scaled this down and used turkey bacon which I chopped and fried in some leftover bacon fat. Didn't have pimentos but chopped up a few pieces of sun dried tomatoes and added that to the pan. Will make a full batch soon.

Just as good as your favorite restaurant! I left out the pimentos since I didn't have. Makes nearly a quart and keeps well.

This is great! Very tasty. Searched all of the net and came back to this one. Made it mostly as written, a bit more bacon and fat - I used a pound of bacon, and a bit more fat than called for. Used practically all the sugar (1 1/4C +)in spite of reviews that suggested less would do.(I like my dressing sweet). While I've eaten plenty of hot bacon dressing in restaurants, I've never made it and this recipe will be the one I use from now on. Pretty close to my favourite restaurant version. Two suggestions: You can omit the pimentos- I don't really see that it added much. And leave the bacon separate from the dressing, don't mix it in-keep it aside. Adding it to the dressing just takes up more room in the fridge, and it is unevenly distributed, and a bit soggy. Not to mention it just seems as if it may not keep as long. You will definitely have leftovers- this makes about 3 cups!
