This pie has a lovely, creamy texture, and a refreshing taste from lemon juice and lemon rind stirred in. The filling is poured into a homemade crust, baked for an hour until set, and served with sweetened, sliced strawberries.

The cooked pecan filling is made with lots of sugar, eggs and corn syrup, and a bit of vanilla and bourbon. It 's poured into a homemade crust, and topped with luscious pecan halves bathed in brown sugar, butter and honey.

This is an old Italian recipe for a pie with a sweet crust--just like from the old country. My in-laws are Italian and they say that this is the best pie. It is always requested for Christmas. Mini chocolate bits and lemon rind can be mixed into the batter.

Eggs, ricotta cheese and cooked rice give this scrumptious pie a lovely texture. It 's also studded with candied orange and lemon rind, and topped with a beautiful lattice top. Makes a 10-inch deep-dish pie.
