I think I made them too small, but if I made these again, I'd definitely make sure they were bigger. They were a simple, decent cookie, though, and my boyfriend liked them.

These were fast to put together and very tasty! I used splenda in place of the sugar and only had enough honey to make half a batch. I ended up with 20 good sized cookies!

Delicious! My husband and I were in the mood for a snack and I was in the mood to bake. I wanted a simple and easy recipe and this was great. I made a couple of changes. I used a stick of unsalted butter (melted in the microwave) instead of the shortening. I replaced half the flour with old fashioned oats which I ground in a small herb grinder. I also added a half teaspoon of vanilla. I did end up adding another half cup of flour at the end because the dough seemed too wet to shape into balls. I recommend using a tablespoon to measure these out and/or making balls that are no more than an inch at most. Also, spread them 3 across on the cookie sheet. When I put 4 across they merge into squares. That could be another good way to make this recipe though-- as squares or bars! Whichever way, it is a wonderful treat; I know my husband will love them and I might even make them for a bake sale coming up :)

I love these cookies! They have a great chewy texture and freeze well. Make sure not to overbake.

WOW! Fantastic flavor, great texture, these are my favorite cookies yet by far.. I did make a few changes, I used butter instead of shortening, wheat flour instead of all-purpose. Half white, half brown sugar. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla. You have to try these!!!!

Used butter instead of shortening, used brown sugar instead of white and used three eggs. Very good. Could have been a little sweeter, but I didn't quite have a whole cup of honey so I can't blame the recipe. Next time I make them I will throw in a little vanilla extract.

Really good and super easy to make. I don't have shortening, so I used 1/4 cup of canola oil and then added 2 more tablespoons after that because it looked like it needed more moisture. I baked them on my silicone cookie sheet. They came out chewy and tasty, not super sweet. A keeper!

Used whole wheat flour, added a little ground flax seed, plus a couple drops of vanilla and small sprinkle of cinnamon. SO good! Oh, used butter, shortening is gross.

These are excellent! I substituted whole wheat flour and brown sugar for the plain flour and white sugar, and I added an extra egg as suggested by another reviewer. Turned out perfect. Best eaten fresh out of the oven with a tall glass of cold milk!

A super quick and easy recipie that I modified slightly, only to enhance flavor: I added 2 Tablespoons sour cream; 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup; a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg; and halved the shortening to 1/4 cup, adding 1/4 cup of butter. Just as other reviews have stated, delicious, chewy, perfect texture, fantastic taste! A must try for your crew! :)

these are tasty and simple. i used natural peanut butter, and my fellow didn't like them as much as if I had used a sweetened, 'processed' peanut butter, but too bad for him! i also used butter, not shortening. i was out of vanilla, (ack!) but i think they could use a shot of it, too. i liked them and will use the recipe again.

Yum! The only changes I made were to use butter in place of the shortening and brown sugar instead of white. Also, after rolling out into balls I flattened them with a thumb dipped in brown sugar... nice presentation! These are really good, a nice mellow taste of peanut butter with a hint of honey. Soft and chewy too, which is a big bonus for me! Thank you so much for this recipe!

These cookies turned out beautifully! I brought them in to share with coworkers for the holidays and they were a hit --- moist and tasty, and you can taste the hint of honey. I added in a dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon.

I don't do just anybody's cookie recipe but this one I just had to try. My family wanted to know what extra was added to the recipe. The honey was the touch. I made 2 batches. on the 3nd batch, I added a touch of vanilla and added an extra egg to maintain the moistness. Hard to store though, because my family was eating them roght out of the oven. Thanks I'll be using this one again, it;s a keeper!

These cookies turned out sooooo good! The only changes I made were using brown sugar instead of white and I added a splash of vanilla because I find it to be a great addition to almost any cookie. I also used a drinking glass dipped in sugar to flatten the cookies. It makes all the cookies the same size and shape, and the sugar coating makes the cookies nice and crisp on top. This recipe made 4 dozen BIG crispy on the edges - chewy in the middle cookies. I'm adding this one to my collection.
