Wow, so easy and really good - different from what i usually do with trout! I grilled it with thin sliced onions under it on foil, then flipped the whole thing over, grilled for another five minutes, and the onions were perfect!

I really liked the sauce, but would rather dip veggies or fries in it than marinade my fish. Sorry.

The sauce for this is so good! My hubby and kids really liked it and hubby asked for me to make it again sometime. I think I will try it on other kinds of fish too. Thank you!

I made this recipe with ingredients as listed. The weather was too poor to use the grill outside, and I was in a hurry, so i sauted the onion in a frying pan, and then lightly browned the trout fillets in the same pan. I then spread the fish with the sauce, and baked uncovered @ 400F for about 12 minutes. I didn't find that the onion did much for the flavour, the sauce would have been enough. Next time i'll omit the onion altogether. My boyfriend, who screwed up his nose at the mention of trout, loved the meal. Will definitely make again. It is sweet, but the overall flavour is mild, and not too overpowering for the trout.

This recipe is awesome. I baked it instead of grilling. At 350 for 40 min. I put the suace on top, a few diced onions on the bottom and top and it came out awesome!! We will be making this again.. soon =)

An easy-to-prepare recipe - and I made as suggested (I didn't add salt - there is plenty in the mayo). I used Dijon mustard and cooked the trout with the oven broiler. Like others, we ate the onions and I also used the leftover basting sauce T the table for dipping the trout - very tasty.

I thought it was strange that the recipe didn't call for salt... did I miss that somewhere? I'm not much of a salter but I took a bite and immediately reached for the shaker! Delicious! Apparently there are no trout to be found right now so I just used catfish, just as good! But it took much longer to cook (an extra 5 or 10 min) Discard onions?! What's better then a side of grilled onions? I brushed butter on them before I put the fish on, then when I took the fish off I flipped the slices over. YUM!!

We tried this recipe after my husband's morning fishing trip. The flavors were great, however I rated this a 4 because the sauce was a bit too runny. The onions used to cook on were a great side to the meal. Leftover sauce was great on salads!

This turned out very well, but be prepared for the sweetness. We will make again. Thanks!

This recipe is wonderful. I baked it in the oven at 350 for 30 min . I just put the sauce on top and baked it uncovered. Even my children who don't like fish asked for seconds! It's going to be a regular.

My family loved this! The onions were great chopped thick and grilled. Even my cousin who is the most picky person I have ever known, loved it. Just to warn you it is very sweet!
