Absolutely delicious. I used milk instead of cream to save calories, and used half oil/half water instead of full oil. Still awesome, this will probably be the recipe I use from here on. I made a corndog casserole type dish from adding a package of chopped veggie hot dogs and a handful of cheddar. I will make again.

Hmmmm...I followed this recipe almost exactly (using 2% milk instead of heavy cream) and was not impressed. I thought the texture was perfect - not crumbly as others has found - but it was rather bland.

This is the best non-traditional sweet cornbread recipe I've tried. The family loves it!

delicious! I substituted melted coconut oil for the vegetable oil and used only the egg yolks, no whites (due to allergies). I also used whole milk instead of cream and added an extra splash of honey. So yummy!

Hands down, this has got to be the best cornbread recipe around!!! It's so moist with the right amount of sweet. If you like your cornbread like "cake" then this is the BEST. Thank you Tim L. for sharing this fabulous recipe!!!

I've been on a holiday cookie baking kick this evening and everything has turned out perfectly except for this cornbread. Followed directions to a T and it was overly browned on top and almost black around the edges while the center was still raw. I took it out of the oven and just let it sit and it finished baking on it's own. I'm going to crumble it up for cornbread stuffing to have on hand. In the center, it is very moist and had great potential but wither everything else turning out correctly, I just really don't know what to think about this one recipe.

I made this exactly as written for Thanksgiving and it was delish! Some other reviewers complained about the crumbliness..but isn't all cornbread somewhat crumbly?!? I made the day before TG and refrigerated.

Just what you think homemade cornbread should be. I only used 1/4 cup white sugar as I wanted the honey flavor to be stronger and it was still plenty sweet. I also doubled the recipe and adjusted the cooking time. Perfect -- thank you for this recipe.

Very tasty cornbread. It is definitely sweet like stated. Not overpowering though, just different. This only bad part (and I know most would say this is a good thing) is just how crumbly it was. We couldn't hold it to dip it in our soup because it would just fall apart. Still very good though.
